ManCat Monday

Of all animals, the cat alone attains to the comtemplative life. He regards the wheel of existence from without, like the Buddah. - Andrew Lang

Hope everyone had a good weekend. We got to see Grampie this weekend, we have to be careful now, he has a walker that could run over our tails.

Mum brought him over for a bit on Caturday. She showed him a bunch of jackets/sweaters and such and found what he really wanted or needed so he will be warm if he needs to go outside. So the rest got taken off to the Good Will guy.

He didn't stay long, just enough to tell mum what to keep. Later mum unpacked two big plastic bins of clothes. The stuff that he needs is now in the closet and the rest will go off to Will in a few days.
So we now have the guest bed again to nap on, no more boxes on it and the two pink tubs left to empty. Mum got the blue ones done. Yipee for progress on getting Grampie's stuff organized, donated or tossed!

The hots are coming back, we had a couple of days where we could have open windows. Now they are all closed again.

Happy August, have a good week everyone.

  2. We're glad your Grampie came over for a visit and he and your mom got the clothes sorted.

Is he getting around okay with the walker? Our human's step-dad broke his hip at the end of July and he's still in hospital, going to be a very long recovery and it's doubtful he'll regain a lot of mobility. So it's likely he'll end up in a long-term care facility sooner than later. Getting old isn't exactly fun!

  9. Wow, that is quite a job your Mom is doing. We don't want to think about warm clothes and cold weather yet.

We are glad that your Grampie was able to visit. Do you sit on him or by him for pets?
