Garden Thursday

 ::MEOW::

Hello it is Virginger and welcome to Garden Thursday. Not a happy time in our garden. The hots and drys have not been kind to the plants. You can click below to biggify, but we live in the part of the state that is in RED. Meaning extreme drought.

 We did get a little bit of rain, here and there, but not much to break the drought, mum says not even a full inch over the past week. Plus we had a winter with little or no snow, and now not much rain.
The snow on the mountain is getting brown.
We got the one nice stargazer lily and now the rest of the plant is turning brown. Mum even watered this too!
Our normally lush and green ferns are all looking deaded.
But the weeds are growing and blooming. Here is the wild thistle mum has let grow. At least we have one thing that is blooming. Even if it is a weed.

That is all for now, hope the rest of you have a better looking garden than we do.

Love, Virginger.

  1. I am sorry for your garden, though the stargazer lily and the thistle look pretty. We are having a drought, too. The only thing we have blooming is the lace vine.

  2. The drought is awful awful this year. Weeds seem to be the only resilient thing!

  4. Oh your poor garden. I hope you get some rain soon. I think it all came to us this spring (along with everyone else's! I'm surprised the valley didn't float away).

  5. We're purring and praying for rain for all of our friends who need it.

  6. We hope you get plenty of rain very soon. It has left us now and we have the hots. Maybe it will come and visit you.
