Our first sign that spring is coming. We saw a fevver that goes away over the cold, snowy months. He was back at our feeder just a little while ago.
Mr Red Winged Blackbird is back. Mum got this picture around 1:10 PM central time today. If you look on the far right at the edge of the feeder you can see snow caught in the trumpet vine, vines.
Here, a few minutes later, Mr and Mrs Cardinal showed up for a snack. These guys stay around all winter. Nice to have a big, bright splash of color. Plus you can see the snow in the vines better too.
Plus next week, mum says the hour will go and hide in the clock for a while. So sunspots later in the day.
Hooray for your spring !
