Garden Thursday

Hello and welcome to Garden Thursday with Virginger, Glimmer and Trooper.

Bizzy week since last week, but before we get to all of the chores mum did outside, here are the current flowers.

The alliums along the back fence. This is the last of the spring bulbs.
The pinky-peach oriental poppy that mum bought a year ago.
The promise of pee-o-knees!

Then the chores. It rained on Caturday, so the ground was all nice and soft, so mum took advantage of that on Sunday and pulled weeds! Yeah, not the most enjoyable or exciting thing about having a garden, but it has to be done.
Before above in front of the house, mum was actually taking a picture of the poppy flower bud, but below you can see a long of the other icky green stuff is gone.
What is left is just flowers now! The front with the hosta's all looking nice with less weeds.
Here is the pile of weeds beside the side of the house.
Then mum acided that the four-sith-ia needed a trim. A trim, major haircut time and she thinks she wants to cut it back a bit more!
One pile of the trimmings and a picture of the half pruned out plant. Mum thinks the right side still needs some work, looks a bit lopsided.
More trimmings on the other side.
The trimmings added to the weed pile, mum will haul them off this weekend.
Yes, it is hug your cat day. A certain mancat inside gets hugged daily and we to too!
Plus we have to send purrs to Ducky's sweetie Dora. Seems she has gone missing and her beans are worried. Get home Dora, no more exploring for now!

That is all. Love Virginger, Glimmer and Trooper.

  2. The garden is looking good after all your mum's hard work. My dad says my mum is lethal when she has a pair of secateurs in her hand.
Happy Hug your Cat Day to Ducky. I hope Dora is soon back home. It is very worrying.
