The worst of the hots for now is gone, we had some storms but not super bad here. Where Grampie used to live they got bad storms, floods and lots of trees down.
These are two different underpasses, both flooded and the bottom one from the other side had lots of mud as the ground collapsed on that side.
Us, well, the hots and rain are not good for flowers, so most everything is done for now. The roses are looking ok if you aren't looking really close.
One last really nice pee-o-knee, this one protected by other plants so it lasted longer. Mum had to hold the flower up to get a good pic.
One cheeky chippy, with his spot 13! THE END!
Love the end of your post!
ReplyDeleteIt's been pretty hot here in France too, and looks set to stay that way for a while. We are glad for our fans and the fact that the ground floor always stays cool.

Ugh, flooding is terrible! We had a very wet winter, but our local river was able to handle it. Our roses are past their first bloom prime, but we usually get a few more blooms throughout the summer. Most of the other flowers have come & gone or are fading fast. It's supposed to be 100 degrees here this weekend. But the tomatoes will like the heat, and they're yummy.
ReplyDeleteWow! That's a lot of water! It's not so hot here, but it is more humid...we only got a little bit of rain though.
ReplyDeleteOMC look at that flooding!!!! Awful! Your flower is gorgeous though!
ReplyDeleteWe could use some of that rain! Spread out over a week...
