ManCat Monday

There is no more intrepid explorer than a kitten. - Jules Champfleury

Another week is starting. Mum says this will be a quiet week, mostly her being home. That will be nice. That means sleeping in and naps in the afternoon.
Mum watched a bit of what she called golf on the moving picture box. Men in bright colored clothes hitting a little white ball. Mum just likes to watch as she can see lots of purrty flowers. With our weather we don't have much in terms of purrty flowers.
Plus you can see that we still have some snow left from the other day, plus the weather guessers are saying we might get a bit of snow today. Not as much as we had the last time but still, it is April and we want warms, enuf to have open windows.
Mum says we have stupid naybors behind us. They attached some hangers to the electric pole, then hung some fevver feeders. Plus they put sqwerl baffles on them. Stupid as a sqwerl can easily climb up the pole and have a feast. These guys aren't too bright!
Me, well, this was when me and mum were getting ready to have a nice bit of a nap yesterday. Guess we may end up here again today.
Happy week everyone.

  1. I'm wondering whether your mum puts the golf on television for your benefit, Ducky, rather than hers. You seem very interested in it.

  6. Ducky, we're glad to hear you and your mum take naps together. Our mom takes naps with us sometimes in the afternoon...all it takes with her is her just sitting on the couch and she's out like a light!

  7. We crack up about the way some Beins hang bird feeders. The only thing we have tried that werks is to put up a pole, hang a barrel baffle 5' up and then a wide flat baffle on top of that. And put a feeder directly on top (nothing out to the sides). And 10' away from any tree branches!

  8. Silly beans! Those sqwerls will outsmart them right away.

Enjoy your extra time with the mom bean.

  10. Well, I give your neighbors credit for trying but squirrels are smart. We have to use the spring-loaded bird feeders that slide shut when a squirrel climbs on them.

  11. Oh, what a great time to have lots of sleeping in and naps. Spring is coming, or so they say. It's not yet here yet either.
