A quick Garden Thursday note, we actually have blossoms on our eggyplant! Woohoo, maybe mum will have some to eat soon. Mum counted 5 blossoms the other day. 
Mum ordered these special fireworks as usual, in that they don't make booms to scare kitties. They are pretty but won't scare you. Mum skips the local fireworks, says the people just get crazy. She watches the stuff on the moving picture box, no driving, no crowds and the noise isn't so bad that it scares me.

ReplyDeleteOur state has new restrictions on noise and fireworks, which has diminished...so far...the times I jump outta my skin when a big boom goes off! Thank goodness.

ReplyDeletePeople go mental with fireworks here. Why they aren't outlawed for private use is a mystery--we're in prime fire season, for pity's sake! Mom can't imagine a war vet having to deal with all the noise. :-(
