I guess mum will be handing out candy tonight to those coming to the door. I will go find a nice place to nap. 

 Oh yeah, two years ago this is what we woke up to on Hallow-weenie! SNOW! Thankfully none of that in the forecast.

Caturday

 HiYa Ducky here. Happy Caturday. Waiting on the sunshine today. It was sorta cloudless when mum got up, but now it is all clouds again. Come on sun!

Me the other night with mum watching feetsball. Our team played in the middle of the week this time which is a bit strange. Mum didn't tell at the box much except right at the end when they pulled a victory from the jaws of defeat! Our team caught the other guy's pass so they couldn't score, then just a few seconds left in the game. Woohoo!

Mum is thinking she needs to work on outside stuff today. I will snoopervise from inside. Oh, and the other day she went to meet Miss Kellie for lunch. A loooong lunch at that too. Well as they came of of the eating place they heard all sorts of sirens really close. Mum took the scenic route home and saw them arresting a guy in a parking lot. Here is what she found on the webs. 

On Thursday, 10-28-21 at approximately 2:53pm, Germantown Officers responded to a retail store on County Line Road reference a retail theft in progress. Upon arrival, the suspect fled from officers and a foot pursuit occurred southbound into Menomonee Falls. The suspect discarded a loaded pistol during the foot pursuit and was eventually taken into custody by officers south of County Line Road. The 18 year old male suspect from Milwaukee was arrested and transported to Washington County Jail.

A request for charges will be sent to the Washington County District Attorney’s Office for the following offenses: retail theft, resisting/obstructing an officer, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of marijuana, possess cocaine with intent to deliver, and felony bail jumping. The suspect also had multiple warrants for his arrest.

One officer sustained a minor injury during the foot pursuit that is currently not requiring medical treatment.

This incident clearly illustrates how a “routine” call can turn into a very serious incident involving multiple officers who have to make split-second decisions. The officers involved did an outstanding job bringing this incident to a quick, successful conclusion. 

 

We prefer a quiet day, this doesn't happen often out where we live, thank goodness.

Thankful Thursday

 Yep, lots to be thankful for, just being alive and well. Both me and mum. Roof over our heads, foods to eat, furiends to be with. 

Our handy Dan was here with son Nate to replace our front storm door. They came and mum went with them to the door store and picked out what she wanted. Same door will go on front and back. Mum says you gotta do stuff to your place to keep it up to date.

Getting it in place and the finished job below! They gotta come back to do the back door. Took them longer than they expected.

Me helping mum watch the moving picture box about stories of stars and how our star will run out of gas in a lot of years from now. Mum says we don't need to worry, we will both be at The Bridge or Heaven by that time.

Plus mum was working on her newest blankie. Several people mentioned it looked liked tortie colors. The official name is Platoon. Mum says that is cuz they wear these colors when the military fights in desert places. 

Here is the finished blankie with the insert stripes. Mum was please with how it turned out. 

Mini-ManCat Monday

Hmm, so I am an angel? Yeah I think I am an angel with just a little bit of the devil in me to be a bit mischievous!

Me and mum had a quiet weekend. Other than to go get her flu shot mum stayed home and did stuff around the house. She is going through her stuff and taking things she doesn't use or wear off to the charity people. Just don't go and donate my toys. Okay?

So I helped mum watch the feetsball game on Sunday. Plus I snoopervised her working on the blankie. It is almost done!

 Last week mum did some shopping and brought home two new litter boxes for me. The old ones she carried out to the metal monster room. I thinks they will get put into the trash! Plus there is still one more old box down their. Maybe a spare if she needs it. 

 Feetsball Report

The Pack won the game against the WFT guys. Washington Football Team, can't they be more original? Mum says they stopped using their name, we called them the sunburns. It was a good game for The Pack and mum didn't really yell at the moving picture box or use any words from the bad word list. 

Weather guessers say it will be a rainy day. Guess I will nap lots today.

Caturday

 HiYa Ducky here, Happy Caturday. Mum is up and already dressed for the day. At first I thought maybe she was doing racy cars but no. She is off soon to get her flu shot for the year. 

The other night me and mum watched a story on the moving picture box about bees, but when mum took one of the pics we also caught a cat!

Mum finished the scarf and hat for her furiend. She came over to try it on and them mum unraveled it and cut out the icky colors and redid it. So only the bright colors show up. Now to get it over to her so when it gets cold enuf she can wear it.

It did get a bit cold here, we have had frosting on the roofs for the past two mornings. Mum says it isn't that cold out. She hasn't pulled out her winter coat just yet.

I keep warm in my cat cut if I need some extra warms, or in my hammick by the heaty blowy vent. If I get too hot I hop up on my tower for a bit.

Hey, Tock-Tober was a grate success thanks to all of you who amember dear Derby by showing off your tocks. Love you all.

Tock-Tober Day

 Today, the 20th, was Derby's purrthday. If he were still around he would be 18. He left us far too soon but we have him to thank for Tock-Tober. He liked to show off his backside all the time. Cuz of this his ol' pals buns Fiona and Orlando, along with their sisfur Diva Kitty Olivia, 

So here are some vintage tock shots of Angle Derby. 

Now Tock-Tober started afore I came here. Mum was looking back and one of the first mentions was back in 2009. Here is that post. Plus if you want to see a moovie of Derby outside showing his tocks off you can go to this post called OUTSIDE!

Plus with mum's research we think this is one of the first ever Tock picture that started the whole thing. Derby getting outside, again!

Mini-ManCat Monday

So we had a sunny and rather cool weekend. So cool that mum broke down and turned on the heaty monster. I made for my hammick to get a warm up. It took a while to really warm up.

 When it did, and I knew the fan would kick in, I settled down on the hammick for a nice warm rest. 

 

 

When I felt too warm I would go up to the window and just soak up the natural sunshine. It was nice to have a sunny day to hang out in the window. 

 

Later while mum was watching the feetsball and doing crow-shay, she took some excess yarns and put them on me and took pictures. Not funny mum.

Yeah, she was working on some special crow-shay for a furiend. You can see her with me and the scarf in the chair.

To get a full picture mum put it down on the kitch-hen floor to get a picture of the entire scarf in the sun. I had to do my inspection too. You still have to do all the finish work her mum. She knows that but she wanted a pic to send off to her furiend.

Then here is the hat she made too. Mum wants her to try it on for size afore she finishes it off for good.

The Pack - They beat Da Bears. Mum said a few words off the bad word at times. The Pack didn't always look sharp. Although they looked better than the rookie QB of Da Bears, he seemed a bit lost sometimes. Yep, the pro game is harder and faster than college!

Caturday

 HiYa Ducky here. Happy Caturday. Waking up to cooler weather today. It has finally decided that we are getting fall like weather. It finally dried out enuf that mum could use the grass eater and even off the grass this week too.

Mum got out the Hollow-weenie wind sock after she worked on the grass. It wasn't that windy so it didn't want to fly around much. 

One of mum's furiends sent her this pic from a pumpkin place. They got a horsie skeleton! 

After that one day mum hasn't seen these guys again. She is hoping no one stole them or they went inside for decoration. 

Mum took all of the blankies and hats over to the food pantry the other day. Plus she stayed and help put things together for the food bags. Helping out other people who need help.

 Mum heard me behind her the other morning. I was just sniffing out the silk flowers and having a chat with Virginger. 

Me and mum aren't going to do much this weekend. Mum is staying home and chilling out with me. Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

Thankful Thursday

 

The other day was pet obesity day. That would not be me, I need to gain a little bit. I am eating but remember, I am a mini-mancat!

Me helping mum listen to a show put on her money people. She pretty much knew what they were talking about. She figures she is doing OK green paperwise. Enuf to keep the roof over our head and foods for us to eat.

One of mum's furiends stopped by yesterday with yarns. Sheesh mum, don't you have enuf of that on your own. Ah, seems the furiend asked her to make a scarf from the yarn she had. Mum said fine, this is what she had done after an hour or so. She sent the pic to her furiend and she was happy on how it was looking. It will be done in a few days.

Yeah mum, you crowshay. I will nap. Mum is taking all of the accumulated crow-shay projects off to the food pantry today. They can be given to those who need a hat or blankei.

Mum had a good time with her racy cars. She didn't take any pics. Last event of the season for her, well other than a few award parties. 

Me, obviously I stayed home. Mum made sure I had gooshy foods and crunchies too. As soon as she got home she got out fresh gooshy foods for me to enjoy. I kept meowing at her until I got my fresh dish of food. 

Feetsball Report

The Pack - Mum wasn't home to watch  but she kept track of how the game went on her fancy phone. It wasn't pretty but they did win! It took them extra time to to it, but a win is a win.

The baseyball team plays later today.
 

Caturday

 HiYa Ducky here. I thinks things are pretty much back to normal. Getting my gooshy foods with bits of added chick-hen. Plus crunchies too. 

Mum must feel confident about me doing OK cuz she is planning on running off to play with racy cars this weekend. Will be the last event of the year. A chance to see peoples before not seeing them all winter. 

Mum saw this as she was driving around the other day. She had to loop around to get a pick from the front. Seems those kids have been waiting for the bus for a long time!

Mum finished her latest blankie the other evening. She says next week all the accumulated blankies and hats will get taken to the food pantry so they can give them away.

Yawn! Guess it will be a lazy weekend for me. You all have a good weekend.

Thankful Thursday

 Hey everyone. Interesting week. On Tuesday mum popped me into the PTU and off to the stabby place for a check. So we got a reminder call on Monday, said to be there 10-15 minutes early. So mum got us there and then when we got in the girl goes your sort of early. Mum told her that is what the message said. So we went to sit. 

So after we sat another lady came in with her cat. Goodness that cat would not be quiet. I tried to send mind messages for it to shut up. Endless, MOW, MOW, MOW, MOW. Enough already. Thankfully they called mum to bring me into the exam room before either of us went crazy.

 So me sitting in the PTU waiting for Dr Tom. This visit they actually looked me over in the exam room with mum there. He noticed that my eyes are rather dilated. So they he got cute and turned off the room lights and then shone a bright light in my eyes. Many times. Seems since I am getting older and my eyes aren't operating like they should. Doc says I can see normal, just that my eyes are dilated more. Guess it is a part of getting older for me. You can compare how well my eyes used to contract by my header pic and the last pic below. 

So, I gained a few ounces from my episode two weeks ago. Plus they stole my blood and pee. When Dr Tom called yesterday he said what was abnormal then was all back to normal. Mum is happy that things seem to be getting back to normal. She just wants to get a few more ounces on me. So I get lots of gooshy food and mum has been mixing in real chick-hen in each dish. YUM!

 Here are my eyes from 11 years ago shortly after I got here. I was, and still am, a handsome lad!

Mini-ManCat Monday

Mum was not happy one night after she turned off the lights. I decided to take a run and beat her to the sleepy spot. Well I scampered through her legs and she was spooked by me and I nearly tripped her. She didn't fall down, but she scolded me and said not to do it again. I will try mum!

Me just chilling out in mum's lap, one of my fav places. I get lots of loves from mum while I sit there. Sometimes if mum is doing crow-shay I sorta get in the way. She is afraid I will get poked in the eye when she uses her hook. She is furry careful and doesn't poke me, but she is still worried.

This was me on Caturday night. Mum was being all cultured by the moving picture box. Seems our local symphony had their first full orchestra concert in their new concert hall. The hall is a refurbished old movie hall, plus additions were done to make is suitable for music. Mum liked the music they played too. Maybe some day she will go to any actual concert.

The Pack - played well and beat Big Ben and the steel boys. The other guys scored first but we scored more and more often. The announcers tried to make is sound like the steel boys could catch up but mum knew they wouldn't, so no bad words were yelled by mum.
