Snow-Tsunami

OK the weather guesser are saying we will be having a Bee-lizard overnight. Just for some comparison here are a few pictures mum took when she got home from work today. Will try to take some of the same shots tomorrow after the storm.
The one fevver bath.
The sun dial. Don't know why she has this to try to tell time.
The rain guage, turned upside down. The snow is just at the bottom of the fat measuring part. Plus mum did go outside to fill the fevver feeders, the drifts are up to her knees.

Mum went off day hunting as normal this morning. Got up, clean what snow we had off the driveway and left us. But she was back home by noon. Her boss sent her home early, they were closing the office early and he thought since mum isn't well she needed more time home. But she did go see the human VET, bronk-eye-tis. She has pills and such to take. She isn't barking as much, but still barking.

She worked as best she could from home, likely the office will be closed tomorrow and she will do what she can from home again.

We will be cuddling to stay warm, watching the snow fly and purring on mum so she gets better.
Stay warm and safe everyone.

Mini-ManCat Monday

You didn't really want to read that did you? - Author Unknown
Mum has been reading more, some thin and skinny books, other fat ones. The one you see me peeking around was something about losing a symbol. Plus she has "joined" the Adult Winter Reading Program, seems you register, then read a book, tell them you readed the book and then you might win a prize. Mum isn't sure what the prize might be, but for the next 6 weeks she is going to do her best to read a book a week! We will let you know if she wins a prize.

Mum hasn't had much energy to do much the past few days. She is barking like a woofie at times and sniffing, blowing and just generally sounding pretty bad. So that gives her time to read. She did leave the house long enough to get foods to each AND finally go see the latest Harry Potter movie.
She still has to eat and she made french toast with raisin bread on Sunday! We don't really care for it, but did get a little of the egg mix cooked up for us. Eat your heart out Miles Meezer!

Don't forget the Stouper Bowl party on Sunday. Mum better be OK enough to get all the goodies for that!

Guess we better go purr on mum so she sounds better. She says she doesn''t feel really bad, just sounds bad.

Have a happy week every one.

Wordy Wednesday

Yes, we know is it not Wedneday to day, it is Friday, tomorrow is Caturday.

But we have sent in our words to Zoolatry so we can pawticipate
So if you want to join in the fun go to Zoolatry or Sam and Andy's and check out what it is about.

We are just continuing to relax, mum is home for the weekend.

Chillin' Thursday

We is just not doing much of anything the past few days. Napping, chasing, bugging mum for treats.

Plus mum says we can have a Stouper Bowl party, so make plans to stop by!

Stouper Bowl is
Sunday
February 6!

ManCat Monday on Sunday Evening

A drowsy winter evening is never quite drowsy enough without a sleeping cat. - Anonymous
More smackdown!
But I am now cheering!

Feetsball Report

The Packers are Stouper Bowl bound! They beat Da Bears in a close game, 21 to 14.

Mum says the defense won the game for the team with two interceptions.

We know all of our furiends who are fans of Da Bears are disappointed, but that is the way the feetball bounces. First time the six seed has made it through!

At this time we don't know who we are playing. That game is just getting started. Heck, we don't care, we are going to the big game in two weeks.

Support Your Local Shelter

Plus this is to help your local shelter. Mum has done that lots. She has done donations to help out build the new shelter addition and for our comment-a-thon, we donated a neat shelter thingy for the mobile adoption unit.

We know lots of kitties, woofies, buns and others are waiting for their furrever homes. So until they get we help them out. We both came from HAWS -Humane Animal Welfare Society. It is a good place, here are a few pictures.
The kittie room.

Caturday

Hehehehe, I got the little runt cornered, well at least for a few minutes. We are in the spare human litterbox room. Small so not as easy to get away from me! We had a bit of a smackdown, then I let him run away.
One of mum's furiends gave here these two nice cloth shopping bags. She had made them herself and put kittie fabric on them just for mum.

Mum took off overnight on us! She came home really early from day hunting, then took her big red carry bag full of stuff with her. Didn't come back until about noon today. Seems she was off having fun with her furiends. Food, talk and something about razzberry martini's!

Belated Christmouse Prezzie

Looky what the guy in the long blue shorts dropped off today.

We remember a way back that Miss Millie said her mum had to work on a Gizzy quilt for a ginger boy. I didn't ever think that ginger boy was me! It got delayed a bit as Millie's mum was furry bizzy at work. Mum said she understood.

Stay warm everyone, it is cold here. We will stay in and watch mum watch feetsball on Sunday.

Mini-ManCat Monday

Who can believe that there is no soul behind those luminous eyes. - Theophile Gautier
Yes, I has a soul. I am a soul brother. Yes? No?

Mum had some tuna for dinner last night, we got a bit as well. Derby tried to move in on my portion, but mum made him stay away.

We had vishus deers behind our house the other night. Mum got up around midnight to use the human litterbox. On the way back to her sleepy spot, she looked outside and thought their was someone walking on the trail behind our house. They were by the big tree and without her seeing eye glasses, she thought they had very skinny legs.

Then she looked closer and realized it was a deer! I was sitting on the window perch and we watch the deer wander into the yard of the neighbor behind us. Then another vishus deer came out of the ditch from the neighbor next to us. It wandered in the same direction as the other one. Mum said they were lady deers, does, she called them. Just so they leave me alone.

Feetbsall Report - Divisional Playoffs

The Pack - They winned! They beat the Falcons, when they played in the regular season The Pack just losted by a field goal at the last minute. This time when they played the Falcons, they pretty much buried them. Scored, scored some more and just kept scoring! They scored 48 points which is the most the team has ever scored in a playoff game.

Mum got pretty excited just before half time when one Packer guy swiped the ball and ranned for a touchtown. She was yelling and cheering, but it scairt me. So when the play stopped she could tell I wasn't my normal happy self. So she came over to talk to me really softly and tell me things was all OK. Pfhew. I was ready to run and hide!

Next week the Pack will play Da Bears! We beat them a couple of weeks ago, hopes we can do it again.

On the other side the Jet people shot down Miss Millie's team, the guys named Pat. The Jets will play the Steel guys, the Steel guys beat the Ravens.

Hmmm, seems like it hasn't been a good playoff season for team with fevver nicknames. The Eagles, Falcons, Seahawks and Ravens all lost.

Waitin' for Feetsball

Hi'ya, Ducky here. The Packer feetsball game won't start for a couple of hours yet. Mum has been busy reading stuff and making something pretty. Please feel free to biggify the pictures.

She had this paper thing that had new words in it. One of them was chillax.
Ummm, new word? I don't think so, we kitties on the CB have been using it for years! I think William was one of the first. Plus on the news they said the word 'nom' was new and 'in'. Heck that is another one we kitties have been using for some time. Guess we are trend setters.

Then mum broked her old badge holder early in December. Was too busy to fix it, or to try to work on something new. Well today she went out and came home with all of these neat, little bead things to string on a bracelet like thing.
She used the big old clasp from her old badge holder along with the bracelet so she can fasten it to her puter bag or purse. Some nice blues, greens, purples, some flashy, sparkly beads.
Plus two little kittie faces, so we can always be with her.
It's a play thing for me, right?

And mum did an LOL! Go vote for it!
Shall We Dance?

How I Got Up and Down

OK, you want to know how I made it up on top of the cupboard.

First to the table with the puter printer on it. Those extra few inches of the printer help and I just leap from there to the top of the cupboard. I am a very good leaping kittie, I am strong so can push myself pretty high from 4-5 feet.

A simple leap back and forth to get above the window from the cupboard.

To get down, there is another table top behind the couch or I can land on the back of the couch.

But maybe a video will work better than words. At least for the coming down part.

ManCat Monday

No tame animal has lost less of its native dignity or maintained more of its ancient reserve. The domestic cat might rebel tomorrow. - William Conway, Archbishop of Armagh

What shall we rebel on? Not enough noms? Places to nap? Not enough sunbeams? Hmmm, guess we really don't have anything to rebel on, for now........
We did lots of napping, being nearby as mum readed her book. She read a whole book on Caturday and the watching some of the feetsball. Plus doing the usual weekend stuff. Plus she planned it that she didn't have anywhere to be on Sunday, so she napped in really late for her and didn't get up until nearly 9 AM. We even left her alone so she could get her extra sleeps.

Feetsball Report - Wildcard Playoff Weekend

The Pack - THEY WIN!!!! The Pack clipped the wings of those Eagles. It went down to the wire when The Pack got an interception in the endzone with about 35 seconds left in the game. Now they will play on Caturday night against some more birds, The Falcons.

The Colts - Lost to the high flying Jets. Mum is bummed as The Colts are her AFC team. Now she really doesn't care who wins, or maybe better put she has teams she would rather not see win. But we won't go there.

Caturday

Quiet day for us today. Mum has been in and out doing stuff today, shopping, bank, library runs. Then lunch out with Miss Lynn. Mum said she had french toast and she is still stuffed. Said she will have a small snack later.

We watched fevvers most of the day. Mum helps us and counts them for Project Feeder Watch.

Now mum is watching the feetsball playoffs, or well sort of watching, she really wants to pay attention to the Colts game later. The Pack plays tomorrow afternoon.
Plus Zoolatry will be revealing the new purr-fur-manc review forms next week. If you want to see how mum did in the past you can go here.

Otherwise stay warm kitties.

Way Up High

Hiya, Ducky here. I found something that Derby can't do and someplace he can't get at me either.

Mum knew I could get up here, just that she didn't have proof before. You don't see me getting down cuz mum had to leave the house Sunday AM!

Mum knew I could do it as the night everyone was here mum slept on the couch. In the middle of the night I jumped up here and woke mum up. She could see me, but didn't get up, turn on the lights to take pictures. I decided since she knew I could do this during the daylight.

ManCat Monday

A cat improves the garden wall in sunshine and the hearth in foul weather. - Judith Merkle Riley

So far, so good with this new year. Lots of naps, treats, snuggles.
It got all warm last week and our snow went away. But now it is all cold but sunny and mum even went out for walks. Said it was "refreshing". Then she would read her fat book and snuggle with us on the couch. Plus we did some fevver watching too.

Feetsball Report

The Pack - They beat Da Bears and made it into the playoffs. Will play next Sunday afternoon.

Grampa Brett and the ViQueens - Grampa Brett did not play, his head is not right. The ViQueens losted to the Lions. Maybe Grampa will finally retire, for good.

The Colts - They beat Titans, won their division and make the playoffs. They will play on Caturday evening.

Our college team, Whiskerconsin, Bucky Badger, losted by one point in the Rose Bowl. Mum says they didn't play like the did in the regular season. Bummer. No roses for us.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year! Well officially as we do this we are still in 2010 but many of you may not see this until it is the new year!

Mum went off to day hunt as usual today but got home a little bit earlier that usual. She came home with a bag full of foods to eat.
A big container of soup that just went into the big cold box. Mum loves their egg drop soup and says it it cheaper than her making it.
Here is the stuff all out on the plate, chickhen, chickhen and more chickhen. Appetizer, lo mein and flied lice!
She got several fortune cookies, this is the one she opened tonigh. She hates hats so trust me it she won't be getting a new hat.

Guess Ducky and I will pop around the blogosphere and find a a party to two to stop in at. On Caturday we will be thinking Roses.
First we will watch the pretty parade with all of the flowers, then later we, well at least mum, will be watching the Rose Bowl game. Whiskerconsin's Bucky Badger will be playing some frogs!

Happy New Year!

Mini ManCat Monday

Cats whiskers are so sensitive, they can find their way through the narrowest crack in a broken heart. Anonymouse

Mum used Grampies little Christmouse tree. It has jingle bells on it for us to play with.

Mum got our Secret Paw prezzie sent out on Caturday Dec 11. Later in the day the man with the long blue shorts left us our package from Sweet Praline
Such a sweet card with Miss Praline on it.
A box with lots of little stuff inside, mum didn't help us unwrap the prezzies right away. Said we needed to wait. Then will all of the stuff with Grampie we didn't get to it until Christmouse Day.
Mine, all mine. Well OK, we can share as there is lots to share. All sorts of toys, nip, special nip toys and some training cards for mum.
Mum put some of the nip in our one nip toy and the one we got. Derby got right at it and bunny kicked and licked it.

I like this little fevver toy. It sticks to the big window and with the heaty spot nearby, it sways in the breeze. Then I attack it. Mum says there will be more prezzies, but something has to come yet from the guy in the long blu shorts. Then we will have Christmouse again, really soon!

Feetsball Report

The Pack - Beat them Giant's today, still has a chance at the playoffs, but that means beating Da Bears next week playing at Lambeau on the frozen tundra. The team looked good today.

Grampa Brett and the ViQueens - not having much luck with the weather guessers. This week they had their game postponed due to snow. I think it would have been fun to watch them play in a blizzard. Maybe not fun for the fans to get to and from the game, but the game itself would have been cool in the snow.

The Colts - Won today out on the left coast against the Raiders.

Merry Christmas

Thanks to all of you who have stopped by with your kind words on Grampie. Mum said it was nice that he was "Home for Christmas" his heavenly home that is. He is now with his loving wife, Mae who has been waiting for him for a furry long time, 23 years, for him to join her.

They sang this song at his funeral, the third verse is particularly good, Grampie has had his second birth.

Hark the herald angels sing
"Glory to the newborn King!
Peace on earth and mercy mild
God and sinners reconciled"
Joyful, all ye nations rise
Join the triumph of the skies
With the angelic host proclaim:
"Christ is born in Bethlehem"
Hark! The herald angels sing
"Glory to the newborn King!"

Christ by highest heav'n adored
Christ the everlasting Lord!
Late in time behold Him come
Offspring of a Virgin's womb
Veiled in flesh the Godhead see
Hail the incarnate Deity
Pleased as man with man to dwell
Jesus, our Emmanuel
Hark! The herald angels sing
"Glory to the newborn King!"

Hail the heav'n-born Prince of Peace!
Hail the Son of Righteousness!
Light and life to all He brings
Ris'n with healing in His wings
Mild He lays His glory by
Born that man no more may die
Born to raise the sons of earth
Born to give them second birth
Hark! The herald angels sing
"Glory to the newborn King!"

For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6 (KJV)

And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed. (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, (because he was of the house and lineage of David,) to be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them; and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us. And they came with haste, and found Mary and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger. And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child. And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds. But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them. Luke 2: 1-20 (KJV)

Merry Christmas

Grampie is Gone

Grampie went to heaven this morning. Mum was told that Puddin' was sitting outside his room so he had a little ginger boy to purr him home.

We will have our paws full with mum so will be offline for a while.

Musical Bed

Derby's turn.
Ducky's turn.

We are keeping warm just fine, last night we were all in the sleepy spot at the same time. Mum woke up and turned over, then Derby left. I had mum all to myself.
