The Snuggles Project

Mum was checking the blogs with me and came across this on Kimo and Sabi's Blog. The Snuggles Project and we found that my shelter, HAWS is part of the project.

Mum is going over there on Saturday as they have their Bazaar and sale. So she will ask about making blankies for the kitties when she goes there. She has made blankies for humans as part of
Project Linus.

I wonder if she will check out the kitties. If she does, she better not bring one home. I like being an only cat!

  4. we don't let our mommy go to the shelter - and neifurr does our daddy. she gets all cryie and sad and comes home and says that she wants to bring all the kitties and woofies home, and that they all look so sad, and then she cries some more. so she is not 'llowed to go anymore.

  6. Meowmy used to volunteer in the shelters and she always felt so bad for all of the kitties and used to play with all of them and clean their cages.

  8. Oh....but Derby.....it is so nice to have a cat-friend.
It doesn't have to be a kitten. What about a big boy or girl.

And its for a good cause when your mum takes one home with her.
Why don't you give it a try?

  10. If she would happen to bring another kitty home I hope it isn't a naughty one like Precious. Now she is using MY TREE...in MY SPECIAL SPOT! Will the torture never end!!!

  11. I know that place! My mom made a whole bunch of little cat-size quilts with cats quilted right into 'em! She even made one for me--maybe I'll tell everybody about it.

You look very comfy in your bed and I think it fits you perfectly! Plus, if you do get a sib? I can tell you it's never a bad thing!

  12. DKM makes those snuggles blankets on her Ferry trips every day. I, of course, get to test everyone of them out first!

  14. That is very nice of your momma to donate her time making blankies for kitties. We all know kitties like to curl up on blankies and things to make their own special spot. Way to go derbys mom!

  16. It's very nice of your Mom to volunteer to make blankies for the poor kitties at the shelter. If she does bring one home, I'd bet that you would get used to him/her quickly.

  17. Kudos to your mum! I've never been an only cat, but I really think I'd hate it. It's awfully nice to have warm cat bodies to snuggle with!

  18. Hi Derby, guess you are happy being home from the spa. You sure do look comfy in that bed but you sure are squeezed in it. It's not to bad having someone to play with, especially if Mom has to be away during the day working. Although it would be kind of hard sharing that bed.
