Be aware that prey consumed indoors will affect your relations in the home. Prey consumed outdoors connects you to the external world. Never eat in an open doorway, however, as this represents confusion and can get you stepped on.
From Fang Shui by Catfucious, Peter Pauper Press, 2002.
Prey, I don't get to eat prey. If I get a mousie, mum takes it outside right away. I don't get allowed to go out side to try to catch anything. My foods are served in a nice clean bowl. Here I am getting a nice treat of grass to eat. Flower Friday
I had hoped to do this last week in honor of her Gotcha Day, but couldn't. So my flower of the week is Precious Flower. Hasn't she grown up to be such a lovely young lady! Furry warm here again and mum says the nasty squitos are eating her when she goes outside. They are so bad she doesn't even want to go out to fill the birdie feeders, but she must as they are all about empty! I need my entertainment you know.
ilove your flower! it's very special!
ReplyDeleteThat's a very lovely Flower, Derby.
ReplyDeleteTell your Mommy to fill those feeders! We need our TV!
ReplyDeletewe doesn't get to eat any prey eifurr -unless it' a bug.

We are sorry your mom will not let you out to hunt. Trixie loves to hunt and she is really good at it. But mom puts everything she catches outside again because it usually is not dead.
ReplyDeletePrecious Flower is very pretty.
Aw, Derby, that was so nice to put my little sisfur, Precious Flower, on your blog today. It shows what a nice Smiley Boy you are! Don't furrget to submit your picher for the new calendar at the Cat Blogosphere, we all did!
ReplyDeleteYep, I can usually gobble up a bug before my Mommie takes it away from me, but I never get to chow down on a whole lizard! But I heard they are bad for me, anyway.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. Beautiful "flower" you have today! What a sweet idea!
ReplyDeleteAll that rain really brought out the skeeters. Mom gets bit up in broad daylight.
I never get prey. I live a sad life.
ReplyDeletewe aren't allowed to eat the "prey" around here ~The Fluffy Tribe
ReplyDeleteWhat a Precious Flower! She is so gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteYes, feeding the birds is important. Maw hates the skeeters too. She has to spray anti-bug juice on herself efurrytime she goes outside and she HATES doing that. Plus, we have a Mosquito Magnet in our yard!

I love that picture of Precious Flower - she's adorable!
ReplyDeletePlus I will remember not to eat any bugs inside the front door now. Thank you for the tip.
Bah, nasty squitos! I hope your mum does not get bitten. I was helping my mum cut down shrubs in the garden tonight and something (not me) bit her on the leg and now it is all itchy. Bah!
ReplyDeleteMosquitoes are evil and must die! My mom says they find her very joosy. I don't get to eat prey either, but sometimes I find a dried up spider and crunch that up! Then I go kiss my mom! And she doesn't know what I've been eating!
ReplyDeleteI never ate a mouse either. My mom hates mosquitoes they've taken over our balcony.
ReplyDeleteof course you dont eat prey. Its for playing with! Not eating! he he

Beautiful flower Derby! Very clever of you.
ReplyDeleteI love kitty grass too but sometimes wish I could catch...I mean play with prey...especially the elusive blue tailed lizard or a dove.
mmm.. that looks like a tasty plant!
