ManCat Monday

His mind is like a steel trap--full of mice. - Foghorn Leghorn

No mice around here, my mind is full of. . . . . fresh air.
Not quite as warm as yesterday, but mum did open the window for a little bit for me again. Ahhh, more fresh air.
Angus Mohr was very observant of the picture above yesterday that the time on the tempy thing did not match the clock! Nope mum does not reset the time on the tempy thing, it is always on daylight slaving time. In another month it will be correct.

Grampie has a crazy Cardinal fevver that comes by outside his bedroom window. He is on the second floor and there is a tree right outside the window.
You can see the birdie sitting in the tree, then it goes crazy and....
CRASH! He flies right into Grampies window, over and over and over and over again. He starts early in the morning and wakes Grampie up and keeps it up off and on all day until the sun moves away from his side of the building. Grampie and mum think that the birdie sees himself in the window and is trying to scare it off! Silly bird doesn't realize it is fighting itself.

I also hope that any of my cat buds who live down under are OK. Lots of scary fires, everyone stay safe.

  2. More fresh air is great. We had a little storm today. Nothing much, but it keep the temperature down. That cardinal has a real problem. I hope he doesn't hurt himself.

  4. Thanks for the nice comment about the story.

Dad wanted to let you that he read all the comments on the Kitten Roomba video on Youtube. There were a lot of people who were worried that the beans had put the kittens on the roomba and turned it on.

The author of the video left in the comments an update that said that the kittens like to sleep on the Roomba, and that from time to time one of them would step on the on button.

  8. Oh my goodness, that cardinal is nuts! Hehe, though we would not mind if it crashed into our window. We'd open the window and then open our mouths. Yum.

  16. I think you could make that bird stop crashing into the window if you put your picture in the window. Just print your picture from the top of the blog and tape it in the window. That oughta skeer him....hehehehe.

  17. We used to have crazy birds that did that too. Is there another window or mirror that the bird can see the sky through thinking he can fly through?

Sometimes putting up tape on the window, or covering the other window can stop birds hurting themselves. Especially a beautiful cardinal.

  18. Fresh air is the best. We can inhale it for ours.

That bird is crazy. Maybe one of our kind should put it out of its misery? On the other hand - it looks kinda cute.

  20. crazy birdie! mommy says that if you put some gift wrap ribbon that is reflective (that shiny almost mirror like silver stuff) on the window and let the ends flutter it will scare the bird away by breaking up the reflection.
You can probably find it at Target like mommy did. She works at a wild bird store and she knows this works.

I'm very glad you've had fresh air. It has gotten warmer here, but it is rainy so no open windows for me. sigh.
