Garden Thursday

Hello and Welcome to Garden Thursday with Viringer and Glimmer.

Well, it has gotten really cold around here. Both of us are glad we are inside for now. A few snowflakes in the air too, but not yet sticking to the ground.

Mum did a good job this past weekend. She finished up outside by mowing the lawn and chewing up the last leaves and getting the outside stuff that needs to be inside for the winter, inside.
So the back yard all tucked in and looking good. Mum did add a new wrinkle to the back yard and put this thing inside the fevver bath. The plugged it in the power thing. It keeps the ice away so the fevvers have a place to get a drink. Maybe mum should put vodka in it instead of water! Then see how those fevvers fly!

Just a few things that don't want to give up their leaves, the tree across the street and our four-sith-ia plant too. Mum says not to worry, those leaves will not be a problem.
Thanks for visiting, stay warms. Love, Virginger and Glimmer.

  2. I put a 1/2 packet of sugar in the water in the winter; it's supposed to slow down the formation of ice crystals. 1/2 packet to 1 gallon of water, so the outside kitties can drink, but not get too much sugar!

  6. If your Mom puts vodka in there, she needs to get out a video camera so we can see the results! (But it's probably better if she keeps the vodka for a chilly winter night.)

  7. That would be fun to watch the fev-vers fly after they had been drinking vodka.

  8. Yer lawn looks nice with all the leafs mowed ta shreds. TBT does that here, but they seem to stay damp this past week so he is waiting fer them ta dry. Shtredding the leafs into the lawn is a really good thing.

Our birdbath cracked a few years ago, so we have been tellin him ta get a new one with that heater like you have. Today he actally wrote it on his list, so it looks likely ta show up soon.
