Garden Thursday

Hello and Welcome to Garden Thursday with Virginger, Glimmer and Trooper.

Mum has the yard looking better. Got the grass cut off this past week, at least it is evened off. Some rain, so that has been good.

Maybe you remember the project that started a year ago. Neighbor Chuck and his son Nick came over with their cat name Bob and took out all of the old icky plants.

Well they brought Bob back for a job across the street and they cleaned up more of the junk and them mum got really working and cleaned up as much of the old landscape rock. She raked and shoveled the rock to where there won't be grass.
That is the piles she moved out on last Friday evening. Then her plan was to get some good growing dirt and grass seed on Caturday morning. She needed to so some running around chores first, and when she got home the naybors had brought in and spread all of this dirt!
She was totally surprised and super happy. This saved her so much work and green papers too. Above you see naybor Chuck, he is a super nice man, mum says he is like a teddy bear. All growly voiced but a sweetheart. Any purrs you have to spare, send them his way. He is getting a bone marrow transplant next month!
Then the truck showed up with another load of dirt and they worked on Chuck's yard by the street. When they worked on the street a few years ago they didn't get enuf dirt in, so they filled it in. Mum bought a bunch of grass seed, now we are just waiting for it to start growing.

Mum has to keep it watered, but we have gotten a bit of rain some days, so that helps. Otherwise Mum is watering to make sure those grass seeds grow.

That is all for this week! Love Virginger, Glimmer and Trooper.
