Garden Thursday

Hello and Welcome to Garden Thursday with Virginger, Glimmer and Trooper.

Wow, having a beauty-us run of weather for the first week of November. It has been in the 60's and 70's since Sunday. Today is likely to be the last of the really nice weather, then just back to normal temps.

While it was nice on Sunday, mum worked to get the leaves off the grass in the yard and out to the street for pickup.
As you can see, some trees still have lots of leaves, this tree is across the street from us.Plus look at the lovely cobalt blue sky!
This is the big maple next to the house. Mum wants these leaves off the tree, then she can get the rain gutters cleaned out. Actually, call the guys to come clean them out for her!
Sorry for the sun glare, but this is our other maple tree near the street, that is mostly bare of leaves now.
The locust tree, lots of little leaves and stems that come down, but almost clear as well.
So here is the pile that mum got pushed to the street and the guys came by with the picker up machine on Monday. So mum has room to push more leaves out to the street.
She started to get the patio cleared off too. She put the griller machine under its cover and tucked it away. The lounge chair is put away but the one chair is still out. Mum does like to come and sit outside in the sun when she can during the fall.
Here we are, some goodies going inside the chest, and as long as it is nice, we will be outside too.
Mum got the fevver bath cleaned out, got rid of the leaves and such. Those little spots are pennies, that keeps the icky green slime from growing and sticking. It really works.
The view from inside. Mum can see the trail, trees, fevver feeding spots and all. So the fall work in almost done.

That is all for now. Love Virginger, Glimmer and Trooper.

  1. We hesitate ta suggest, but TBT just mows the leafs into shreds until they just diappear into the lawn and he says that is like free fertilizer.

  11. All our leaves are dropping here. Do you have any ash trees? All ours have been struck by the Emerald Ash Borer - in fact our county is quarantined!
