Garden Thursday

Getting colder here, we may even get some snow on Friday. Not much, but still that means that winter isn't very far away.
So to compare the trees over the past week. The top was taken on Sunday October 28, below was taken Wednesday November 7. So pretty much in the past 10 days the leaves are gone from this tree.

Same thing for this maple tree, it is bare of leaves.
Across the street, one of the trees still has leaves on it and is really just beginning to change color too. Below is our locust tree, it is getting much thinner in terms of leaves. The pic was taken yesterday.
You can see the leaves that have fallen from the trees, the top is in the front of the house, below is the patio in the back. Mum will need to get this all cleaned up, but with rain and then snow, mum will wait until next week to hopefully finish the cleanup.
One pretty thing, this is our burning bush in the front of the house. It doesn't get color until it gets sun and it gets way too much shade until the trees drop their leaves.

That is it for this weekend. Mum has tucked us into a safe and warm place for now. See you soon.

  1. Looks like there's still quite a lot of work head for your mum over the next couple of weeks.

  2. It's been very windy, so most of the leaves came off of our trees...which is a bit early for us. Hopefully, we'll be able to bag up most of it before a freeze or snow.

  3. The leaves are dropping fast here also. We have gales forecast for tomorrow so that will probably make the last of them fall too. My summer flowers were still looking good when we went on holiday, but some hard frosts while we were away has finished them off.

  5. The leaves are dropping fast here also with this coastal storm hitting us right now. We can't believe your getting some snow already. Looks like your mum has a lot of work next week. But that's next week. Now it's time to cuddle with you in the cozy warm house. Thanks for the share. Have a wonderful weekend.
