ManCat Monday

A cat is a puzzle for which there is no solution. - Hazel Nicholson

Mum likes to do puzzles, but she is still figuring me out! The hots are still here, but mum was brave and did go and do racy cars. Thankfully where they were has two big trees so they could sit in the shade, nice breezes both days and they bring them a very large jug of ice water to drink from. So she did just fine.
I was sitting on the back of one of the new chairs when she got home. Once she sat down, then I sat down on her!
Mum saw this sticker on the back of one of the racy cars. She just took the picture, she didn't touch the car. She didn't want to tempt fate.
Plus she found this leaf, one of many, under the oak tree they sit under. She wants to figure out why some of the leaves of the tree were doing this. She will let us know if she figures it out.

Have a wonderful week everyone.

  1. I wouldn't risk touching that car either! I am glad she had shade and plenty of water. Everyone needs to be careful in the heat.

  4. I'm betting that cats are more puzzled by humans than the other way around, Ducky! My guess is that something has eaten that leaf; a tiny caterpillar perhaps? Looks sorta lacy now, but very dead.

  8. We like that you have your own chair, Ducky! You look very good on it!

We don't know what happened to those leaves but we hope your oak doesn't have borers.

  9. Our Mom laughed over that sticker, saying she wish she had a whole roll of them. We don't know what she would stick them on and frankly, we don't really want to know. Hmmm, leaf hoppers or some kind of potato beetle at the leaf?

  10. Some bugs attack the leaves and eat them away like that. Every year my arrowood viburnum bush ends up looking like this. Doesn't seem like it would be good for the tree but it come back every year. Something as big as a full size tree would probably not have all its leaves chewed up.
