Funky Fang Shui Friday

Help your humans with their shopping. Don't get stuck in the shopping bag, it could hurt you.
Don't worry, I did not get hurt playing with the shopping bags. As soon as mum took the stuff out of the bags to hang up, I put some furs on them. Gotta make them pretty you know. Mum properly disposes of the shopping bags.

Mum found this story with video on the web of a nasty person who hurt some kitties in Las Vegas. Mum got all leaky eyed watching this but thankful that there are some nice beans to help out these poor kitties.

The other day I was saying it was cold, now it is supposed to get hot. I just wish mom nature would make up her mind! What season is it? Summer? Then we need consistent warm temperatures.

Flower Friday
A furry purrty pink iris that is blooming in front of my house. Happy Weekend.

  1. I agree Derby, shopping bags are fun and we like to put our furs on them too. Mommy and daddy make sure to dispose of them properly, which we don't think is QUITE as much fun.

You sure look like you're having a great time!

  3. Hey now, Derby, keep cool and watch Big Brown go all the way this weekend.

Bags can be fun, I guess, but I'm more interested in what's in 'em.

My human mom brings home softer things than my human dad, but she doesn't like it when I add my presence to them.

Hmpf -- I *like* it when I find something with my favorite human's smell on it.

So here I am, trying to treat them the way I'd want to be treated, and see where it gets me?

    Humans can be so weird...

  4. One time when I was little I attacked a shopping bag and I was having so much fun - until it attacked back and I had to run away. Now I'm not so keen on them any more!

    Happy weekend Derby and Mum!

  5. Shopping bags are very fun. I like the sound of the paper ones the best. We don't have any pink iris'. Yours is very pretty.

  6. Derby

Boo likes to play in the grocery bags Mom brings in.She has to inspect them. Last week she got 'caught' in one. So Mom is now very careful to make sure my sister doesn't make that mistake twice.

  8. Oh my, Derby! My beans have to either throw away or put away all plastic bags immediately because Ninna *eats them! For real! You look cute!

That flower is so pretty - mom's favorite color is pink.

  9. Derby, that is a really funny photo of you in the bag!

I just read that story, and it is heartbreaking. 5-week old kittens are so tiny and defenseless. That man is very, very, very bad.

  10. I am very nervous around anything with a handle since I got one stuck around my neck once and it took ages for the humans to catch me and disentangle me. FAZ

  11. That is a lovely iris, Derby. Ours haven't bloomed yet. We are still in March, I think! Momma says this is the spring that wasn't and she hopes they don't cancel summer!

  12. Shopping bags are super fun - until they try to grab you. Then they're not so fun any more.:/

Oh, you must not play in bags. I did it once and got my head stuck in the handle and then I freaked out and ran around the house really fast peeing all the way because I was sooooo scared!
Yeah, my mom laughs every time she remembers this story. I was very small back when that happened.

  15. Buddah likes the shopping bags, too. He's allowed to plop down on top of them but if he gets in them, the People make him move and them take it away. Probably because he's insane and would either choke in it or suffocate. If you get one stuck on you, don't run! It chases you and makes popping sounds.

  16. Hi Derby! I used to like paper bags, but we don't get those anymore. I do like to like on the plastic bags, which drives my momma crazy!

  17. Hey, Derby, We read about those kittens the other day. Thanks for putting the link to the update. We couldn't view the video but at least someone has been arrested for it. Unfortunately, it doesn't sound like he'll receive much of a punishment if convicted.

  19. Shopping bags scare me sometimes. However, I may give them another try after seeing you have so much fun.

  20. Looks like your were having the fun with the shopping bags. You hae to be careful though because sometimes they like to go over your face and it is hard to see.

  21. Yoo look cute wif dat bag on yur face but it is a little scary if it gotted stuck like dat wifout yur Mom around. Dat surely is a beeutiful Iris. Yur Mum has da best stuff.

  22. That looks a tad dangerous, a good thing your mom was keeping a close eye on you!

You have to jump in then as soon as they hit the floor or they are scooped up and put away!

  23. That photo made my sister Powder shudder! She got caught in one of those when she was a little kitten. It was awful and she still runs when she hears a bag to this very day.

  24. You look so cute in that bag but I'm glad your Mum puts them away so you can't get in them when she's not around to snoopervise! I read the story about the poor little kittens and was so shocked. How anyone can be so cruel is beyond my comprehension. They should lock him up and throw away the key but it seems that won't happen. ::Sigh:: I couldn't get the video to load either but that happens sometimes.

    Beautiful iris:) xxx
