The Rodents Were Wrong

Scientifically, spring started at 6:02 AM Central Daylight Time today, when the sun was directly over the equator. This is what it looks like from our windows.
White, cold, not inviting to go outside at all.
Yes, when mum took the picture it was 10 F outside, it was lower!
So all of those groundhogs, Phil, Wynter and what ever there names were that predicted an early spring.....

THEY WAS WRONG!

Heck, the human weather guessers don't do much better! We will be napping and keeping warm today. We do have sun puddles, so will try to take advantage of them! We will dream of spring.

  6. Yep, wrong indeed. We did have 78 over the weekend and tonight it will be below freezing!

  7. The groundhog is a farce. The Spring equinox is always the same day but lately the winter lasts until the end of April and the summer ends around Thanksgiving.

  8. Needless to say, Mom is not happy coming home from nearly 90 degrees in Phoenix to this.
