The weather keeps changing here as the seasons are changing. Warm, then cooler, then warmer again and cool. Even a tiny bit of frosting on the roofs!
The trees are becoming more colorful and we are looking for fevvers that show up now for the winter. We are seeing more fevvers at the feeder, but we had one visitor that doesn't eat the seeds, he eats the other birdies, chippies, buns, and sqwerls.
Here he was sitting in the crabby apple tree, just down from the hummer feeder. Then he flew over to the fence to sit for a while. We saw people walk or ride by on the trail, they didn't even seem to notice. He then flew off, probably looking for lunch.
It's grey, rainy, and cold here today but there is a lot of traffic at the bird feeder!

The Chans
Those hawkies are fearless. When we had our hawkie family in the front tree, the dad hawkie was on the back yard fence once and our mom got pretty close to him. He didn't bat an eye, maybe was even wondering if he could manage to pick her up to take back to nest! (She retreated.)
ReplyDeleteOh that is one mean hawk! We hope he went looking for lunch somewhere else.
ReplyDeleteWe get hawks here also and they try to take the smaller birds when they are at the feeders. It is nice and sunny today but cold. Every morning for the last few days has been frosty.
ReplyDeleteThat is a brave bird.
ReplyDeleteThe birdies are nice. And we mean not as prey. Sometimes just watching them is good.
