Garden Thursday

Hello and welcome to Garden Thursday. Our garden is hidden by snow. It is the first week of April, we expect warms and rain showers. Not this white stuff.

As you can see I am still inside and and keeping warm. Mum is letting me stay inside until we know it will be nice and warm. Since I am getting, ha, getting? Since I am a senior squillion, she is being nice to me.
Late Tuesday the snow started to stick. It had been misty and rainy all day long. The snow and it continued to snow overnight Tuesday.

So Wednesday AM we woke up to some sunshine and snow. You can see Glimmer and Trooper hanging out in the snow. They are young and foolish, I would rather be inside.
The crocus flowers buried under the snow in front of the house first thing in the morning.
The snow on the trees, this looks more like Christmouse than a few days after Easter.
Mum was good and cleared the driveway even though with the sun it would likely melt. This was good that the sun made it all dry during the day.
Later in the afternoon you can see the two crazy ones. Still with some snow on them, plus you can see what melting went on during the day.
So is spring coming soon? Not likely, they are talking more snow for the area. Sheesh, I think spring got all lost.

See you next week. Love, Virginger, Glimmer, Trooper and Fleur(still hiding).

  1. Those young 'uns sure are tough if they can stay out in the snow like that.

  6. That white stuff looks cold. We don't get snow, so I have never seen it.

  8. Your snow is ridiculous and your "spring" is sounding a whole lot like our spring last year. We didn't get snow late but we had SO MUCH rain clear up until the middle of May, followed by two days of 95 degree (f) weather that burnt all our struggling, soggy flowers. We might as well not even had a spring last year. We hope your upcoming storm is the last of them and warm weather sticks around this time!

  9. Those girls were silly out playing in the snow! You are much wiser to stay indoors, Virginger.
