Mini-ManCat Monday

Cats make life a little sweeter.

Better than sugar baby! We are the sweetest! Hope all of you had good weekends. Me and mum hung out a bit. She did a bit more food shopping on Sunday morning and she rolled the grilling machine out to its position for the summer.
There it is, all ready to go. Heated up and mum's burger sitting on the side. She even cleaned some of the cooties off before she used it. Otherwise she figures the heat kills everything.
One grilled gourmet cheddar bacon burger. They make the burgers with cheese and bacon in the patty. Mum put her own cheese on as well.
Me watching and yes I did get a taste.

Mum isn't going out much, but she did go to the Y on Sunday. Said it was not bizzy so she got a nice work on the therapy type pedal bike. Then for a ride for fresh air. It is supposed to be warmer, so she can just walk here at home and avoid people like she should.

Mum also got an email last night that the library was closing until further notice! Wowza! She will have to read her own books. She has lots of them to read, so she will be OK.

Have a good week and stay healthy.

  1. I'm worried about our library closing too. I have 18 books out at the moment which should last me a few weeks!!! She does have a few kindle ones anyways so she can get through, but she can see that they will probably close everything down shortly.

Good on your mom for getting the grilling starting early.

  2. Lots of things are closing here too. It is likely by the end of the week that everyone over 70 or who has health problems will be told to self isolate for their own safety. This could be for up to 4 months! We are lucky that we can walk around our fields for fresh air without coming into contact with others. These are crazy times.

  3. We've got stacks of books to read around here, Ducky...I never get time to read them, so this could be my redemption! Or maybe I'll catch up on napping with Da Boyz...

  6. When the grill comes out, we know that summer is right around the corner. We like the cheese and bacon inside the patty. Sounds so delicious and we are happy that you were able to have some too. Thanks for the share. Have a wonderful week ahead.

  7. Eeek! Please tell Mum to avoid gyms/exercise equipment during this outbreak. There are no guarantees people are cleaning up after themselves! That burger looks delicious!

  8. Our libraries closed. In fact, a whole bunch of things have shut down. Our animal shelters are still open because they are overflowing--their adoptions slowed considerably with the outbreak. They are waiving adoption fees for 90 days in hopes that will help. Mom wishes she could get one or three more kidlets but she can't.

  9. Yay to Mum using the grill again. It must be so useful to cook outside in the hots. I live in the same city as Poppy Q and her Mum. Am about to head to the supermarket so Megs the tabby can continue life in the style she is used to. I wont pretend to send greetings from her - Megs doesn't like Cats! (daft darling). Sending care and huggles, Michelle in Wellington, NZ.
