Mini-ManCat Monday

If the pull of the outside world is strong, there is also a pull towards the human. The cat may disappear on its own errands, but sooner or later, it returns once again for a little while, to greet us with its own type of love. Independent as they are, cats find more than pleasure in our company. - Lloyd Alexander

Hey, I just stick around the house. I got all I need and mum provides it without too much work on my part. Just some nice purrs, some loving, lap sitting. Can't work too hard!

It is March and me and mum think spring has arrived. It was nice enuf yesterday that mum opened both a window in the kitch-hen and the sleepy room just a little bit and left them open all day. The sleepy room one she left open until she went to sleep!

Plus mum went for her first long walk outside like she used to do. She was furry happy to be able to do this and when she got back she sat outside for a bit to soak up some sun. While she was out there a guy walking his woofie came by to say hello and mum got to meet his woofie. Her name is Flash. She was a properly behaved woof and did not jump on mum.
Mum put out the wind sock for the season. We also saw some red-winged blackbirds for the first time this year. That means spring is coming. Even one goldy finch had some bright yellow on him.
Mum spent a good part of Caturday at a gardening thing. She got this big bag of stuff but nothing for me. Lots of paper to look at and seed packets to grow things.  Mum may try to grow some of the seeds, flowers and food plants.

Our nice weather is supposed to continue, so hopefully I will get some more open windows.

Hope everyone has a good week.

  1. Glad to hear that your weather is improving. Ours has been absolutely awful, with endless rain and a lot of flooding. #1 is so glad she got our roof seen to!

  6. Yep, it's that time of year when the weather teases you a little bit...getting warmer thinking spring is here. Then...WHAM! More cold and snow. We hope that doesn't happen.
