Mini-ManCat Monday

Of all God's creatures there is only one that cannot be made the slave of the lash. That one is the cat. If man could be crossed with the cat it would improve man, but deteriorate the cat. - Mark Twain

I don't want to be deteriorated! I like being purr-fect! It would help mum, maybe she could become sleek and fast!

Amember last week I told you we had a baby bird? A robin? Well, now we don't. The first pic is from last Sunday of July. Mum took a few pics and figured she would leave them alone for a few days.

She then took a peek out during the rain on Wednesday and the nest was gone. Mum figured since it was a quick peek she didn't see correctly. Sadly no, later on Wednesday she took the flashy box out and the whole nest is gone!

Just a few bits of dried grass and such left. Mum thinks something climb up there to get the birdies.

I needed all my naps on Sunday and so did mum. Our power went out early Sunday, so no fan to keep mum cool. Plus the previous owners used an alarm system which makes a big noise when it loses power and then comes back on. So that wakes us up. Mum won't take it out cuz then she would have all sorts of places to fix the walls and that will cost green papers.

We have an election thingy here this week too. I think mum will be happy not to listen to all the propaganda and lies from the candidates for a while.

Happy week everyone.

  1. Oh, good grief, Ducky...that alarm thing is a pain in the patootie!
We are sorry about the birds.
Our primary election was last week, so all of those ads and flyers in the mail are over with...for a little while.
Mark Twain loved cats; don't you think he would have been an interesting person to know?

  3. We're sorry about the robins, Ducky! Nature can be so cruel.

Alarms can be false so often that they end up being annoying. Pasw crossed for your election.

    Sweet pics of you!
