Tours

Just so all know. Mum gotted an anti-paparazzi shield for the weekend. So we won't have to worry about unauthorized photos. So feel free to relax and have a good time. Mum has even promised not to take lots of pictures.

We have a good group of kitties here. Let me give you a tour of hte house and all. Then you can show others around later.

Alright everyone, if you want to come with me we can go down to the dungeon. If we have any senior cats who doesn't think they can make the stairs, we have a mini chair lift put in just for this weekend.

OK, you can see all of mum's monster machines. The washy and drying thing are over here. Sorry guys but she won't be doing any laundry while you are here. So no warm clothes or towels to curl up in.

Over here is the way I jump up on the shelfs to get to sit on top of the heaty spots. Plus you can see all sorts of neat little spaces to walk through and just check for bugs.

Mum has the extra litter boxes down here for everyone. Also extra food and water dishes, including some water fountains and the faucet down here is on a slow stream for those who like to drink that way.

So there are all sorts of spots to check out if you want to. You might even find a mousie!

The main floor has lots of rooms and lots of windows. Couches, chairs, beds to curl up on. We gots two official sleeping rooms, plus the office. Then the living, dining rooms and the kitchen. Mum has made sure the birdies feeders are full so we can watch the birdies.

The monster with wheels is out in the garage. Mum doesn't let me out here furry often. Says there is too much stuff for me to get in trouble with.

Outside, Virginger can take over here. VG-If you prefer to do your business outside, there is a nice secluded spot in the garden. The shrubs and flowers will give you some privacy. Don't worry about rain, the tent covers the property for the weekend.

And George wanted to see my penthouse apartment. Well, follow me. It is over here, I have to get into the closet, then move the secret panel in the back and here we are! Mum can't get in here so I have lots of privacy.

Ready for Guests

I guess everything is ready for the party. The only thing we need now is the guests. But we are ready. So drop in anytime guys.Mum gotted a HUGE tent to cover our entire house and yard. So we won't get wet if it rains. It is even heated! And the cool thing is that during the day the top and sides are clear, so we can see out and gets sun. But at night the sides get cloudy so you can't see in, but the top is still clear so we can see the stars. Neato.

Party Prep

Mum's schedule is back to normal today. No getting up in the middle of the night to talk. Mum said it was easier to talk on the phone for hours than have to get on a plane and have to go there for just one day.

Going to take a few days off from blogging so I can help mum finish getting ready for the party on Friday.

Mum has been busy getting all of the arrangements together. Tent to make sure we can stay dry and warm, but still be outside. Caterer for all of the food and drink. Stuff to play on, etc.

You don't need to bring anything with you. I think mum has thought of it all. So just show up and be ready to party.

See you all this weekend. Starting Friday at noon, Wiskerconsin time.

ALL CATS WELCOMED!

Mum Is CRAZY

Strange day. I was sleeping so nice, middle of the night and such. I was snuggled on the couch on the warm blankie.

Then, mum's noisy thing by the bed goes off, she gets up and turns on all sorts of lights. It was freaking 3 AM. The starts her work 'puter, gets on the phone and starts talking. And talking. And talking. And talking. For HOURS. To people in a place called Pollard's Woods. Mum showed me a map and it is outside London. Fat Eric lives in London.

So at the time when she normally gets up she hadded been up for ages. Finally, she got off the phone. She never lefted to go to work. Right now she is napping on the couch.

I think she is a crazy person to get up at that time just to talk to people.

Buzy, Noisy Day

I sented in my story to Max and his mum for our kittie story book. It is good as I can do and I hopes that my fellow kitties put a story in too, if they could.

Mum wented out to do stuff this morning and theses guys show up an start walking on the top of the house and making lots of noise. Mum got home and was talking to them and taking pictures. It was furry noisy for a short time. Mum says that they didded all but a little bit of the roof last weekend and I should be happy I was at the spa last weekend or it would have been very noisy here for two days. The good thing is that they are almost done, they have to put the rain gutters up this next week.

What did mum go out to do? Shop, what else and for stuff with kitties on it. Do you like?

Plus mum has been working on all of the stuff for the party next week. Just so efurry ones knows, we borrowed a picture of each of the October kitties.

Furriday

Yes, we have made it to the weekend. It is still cold out, but the white stuff isn't blowing around in the air. At least it is not on the ground.

Some questions came up and all , so here we go.

Rascal mentioned that I gotted a comment about my blog at About Cats. That was furry nice, thank you.

Aunty Mary's older kitties are not available, that means Sassy, Tigger and GG are off limits. Only the little kitties will go to the shelter for adoption. I about drove mum crazy just going to the spa/jail last week. I meowed lots. I doubt she could have listened to little kitties for 6 hours. Which means, no little monsters here.

The Feline Oligarchy
asked about my getting graded on my stay. If you are really bad, they won't take you back. Below is pictures of my report card.

And yes, they have failed both dogs and kitties that are not welcomed back. Mum is proud that I have gotten an "A" both times. Then she knows I am doing OK and while she misses me, that I have a good place to stay when I can't be at home. Plus I am less lonely when I go there.

Then some our our new blogging buds, the Taylor CatSSSSS (they live in the same city as my uncle Flip) readed about my teleporting. Well all of us kitties can do it, you just might need a bit of practice. It is how we kitties get together to visit and have parties. To teleport you find a quiet spot, think 7 times where you want to go, the boom, you are there. So start with moving from room to room in the house, then maybe to a furiends house nearby. When you really want a challenge, then you go to the other end of the country or around the world.

Guess that is about it. Cold outside, snuggle time.

Iowa Cousins

Well, I guess I have a whole bunch of cousins in Iowa. So there is the rundown on the gang.
Starting with MommaKittie. MommaKittie is furry wild and this is the as close as mum could get to her. Sort of wild but does come in the house. But mum's aunt Mary hasn't been able to get her caught to take her in to be spayed. She had two litters this year. The kitties from the firsted litter were Sassy, Tigger and GG. They all have had their surgeries and mum's aunt wants to keep these guys.

Sassy for now just stays outside. Mum did see her put one paw inside. Mary hopes that once the kittens are gone and it gets cold out she will come inside. Longhair tuxie.
Tigger wasn't real friendly to strangers, so most of mum's pictures are from when he was roaming the back yard. Mum says he is furry handsone and has long hair too.

GG, short for Grey Girl, is the friendliest of the three older kitties and mum thinks she is the purrtiest of the bunch. Mum loves the black nose and she has furry long whiskers. She has a furry soft coat and purrty eyes. She would go outside lots but was inside lots too.

The MommaKittie then had another litter of 5 kitties who are now are nine weeks old. Mum gave them names and helped figure out if they were boys or girls.
This kittie is Boots. She is a tuxie with longer fur, but not real long. Didn't come upstairs much so this is the bestest picture she has. She has four white feet, hence the 'boots'. You can see Grampie sitting behind Boots.
This is Tippi, named as such since the tip of her nose is white. Here she is 'alaxin on the bed in the dungeon. Other than to eat you didn't see her upstairs. She would hide in the dungeon with the MommaKittie.
This is Smudge. He is another Tuxie, but short hair except right on his chest. Mum thought of Smudge since his nose is black. He came upstairs lots to play and he was an adventuresome kittie, trying to climb places.
Then we have two tabbies, both boys. This is Rocky. Mum has the eyes and the tail reminded her a bit of a raccoon. Specially the tail. It has rings, then it long white strip, with the very end tip being black. You can't see the end of the tail on this picture.

Then the lastest kittie is Stripe. Named as the white stripe down his nose is longer than Rocky's. And the end of the tail is just white. Otherwise these two look furry much alike. Stripe is on the left.

Now, mum says had I not been here she mighted have brought a kittie or two home. But since she wasn't and I wouldn't be prepared for new house mates, she didn't bring anyone home. Plus a 6 hour car ride probably wouldn't have been fun for the kitties. The kitties will be going to the shelter in the next few weeks. Mum and I hope that they find good homes. They seem a little scared of people, mum thinks that MommaKittie is scared of humans and so the kittens are a bit scared too. She tried to hold them and give them pets as she could. Mum said that her aunt should try to do that too to get them more used to humans.

Now which two would she have brought home? Smudge and Stripe. They were the most outgoing and upstair the most playing and interacting with the humans. She gotted a good picture of them together.

So greetings to my Iowa cousins. Purrs to all of you.

Back Home Again

YAY, Mum came this afternoon and sprung me from the kittie jail/spa. I was so happy to see her. We came right home and I gotted lots of scritches and treaties.

But I am furry tired after teleporting all around. Being a Luna's party to celybrate her coming home. Visiting with Fat Eric and having lots of treats and a nice chats with my fellow ginger.
Then back to Mericky to be with The Calico Girls and Ms. Mia. So I have also been doing a lot of napping.

Oh yes, the pictures. Mum is picture A and I am picture B. Not many gotted it correct. But The Crew, George, Tipper, Max and Misty did. As did Grr, Midnight and Cocoa. And my favorite lady kittie and Tuxie, Princess Mia Bella gotted it correct.

For Speedy, my kittie spa/jail is the Animal Hotel. I gotted an "A" for my stay.

But one thing worries me. Mum smelled like a bunch of different kitties. I wonder exactly who she wented to visit with? Stay tuned.

My Surprise

My surprise is that I gets to go to the kittie spa/jail. Sheesh, this isn't all that good. Oh, wait, this should be good. While they take furry good care of me I am not watched all the time. So here is my plan.

Tomorrow I will teleport to the UK for Luna's party, then over to Fat Eric's place and maybe visit with Flynn and Eric. Their beans are gone so they need a visit too. Then I can teleport back and visit with the Calico Girls and stop by and spend time with my dear Princess Mia.

Now, while you won't see me commenting, I will be there.

Mum told me that she and Grampie are going to visit people in Iowa, where ever that might be. So I don't get to go along, but get to go to the spa. Plus mum says there will be special human boomies at our house, something about the roof. Mum says it will be furry noisy and I probably wouldn't like it. I'll be back sometime next week.

But while I am gone I have a a picture puzzle for you to guess about. Which of the following pictures is my fur and which is mum's hair? Leave your guess, no prizes, just for fun.

Picture A

Picture B

The pictures are extreme closeup and just slightly out of focus. Take care everyone-see you soon.

More Boomies

Yes, we hadded more boomies early today. But mum was already awake as it was getting time to go to work. Finally the official weather guy on the talking box says no more boomies. Well at least for a a few days.

My furiends Fat Eric and Sir Sidney wants to know what a Packer is. I forgets I have an international audience and not efurry one knows the Packers.

The Green Bay (Wisconsin) Packers are a Mericky style football team in the National Football League. The team is unique in that they are publicly owned by shareholders, not just owned by a a few rich people. They are also one of the leagues original teams.

But sad to say that they played well in the furst half of the game and poorly in the second half and losted. Mum had gone to bed before the game was over since they weren't playing furry well.

But mum likes Fat Eric's choice of English football teams. Go Blues. That would be the Chelsea Football Club for the rest of you.

And mum says she has a surprise for me tomorrow. Hmmm, I wonder what it could be?

Boomies, Boomies and MORE BOOMIES

Three days in a row with the boomie storms. The ones on Saturday were short. But last night me and mum were trying to sleep and they just kept on coming for over an hour. Lots of flashy lights outside and big boomes. Then twice more furry early in the morning.

Then we hadded a beautiful sunny day and them mum gotted home and it started again. Really bad ones for a bit, but it is still going on. Mum hopes it gets over before sleeping time, she really needs a good sleep.

William asked how I managed to get mum to update my linkies. Well, over time she has developed a system. First the linkies we already have on the blog are in one set of folders. The new ones we still have to do are in another. So then we know exatly th ones we need to add, and then they move into the done folder. Mum is furry organized, so it didn't take her long at all.

Plus, good news, CalicoMomToni did a furry short post. Her eye still has to finish healing and the swelling go down. But furry good that we have heard from her directly.

Well, mum is watching the Packer game. At this point they are winning. So good news for now.

Somewhere....

Lookie what we could see out our windows yesterday. Me and mum were napping and you could start to hear boomies coming. But they wented by quickly and then the sun came out again. Then this rainbow showed up. Mum says this is part of the Rainbow Bridge where all the kitties go to. So maybe it stopped by to pick up someone.
Plus we gotted some little hailstones too as part of the storm. Not big enough to do any damage like the storm back in April. But it didn't last long.
Today is a bright, beautiful, sunny Sunday. It has gotten warm out so mum has the windows open so I can smell all the nice smells from outside.
And I made mum catch up on my linkies. Since our group keeps growing, we added another 12 links. When I started my blog we maybe had 30-40 blogs, now we are way over 100. WOW, what a great community of bloggers we have.

My Song

Miles and Sammy blogged about having a song and that their mum would dance with them. This was just after Trixie wented to the Bridge.

Well I bugged mum and found out her song for me. It's a Disney song from Dumbo. Mum even has a recording of the song being sung, although it doesn't mention me by name. The record is The Disney Album by Michael Crawford. Mum likes his music lots. These lyrics are what mum sings to me.

Derby mine, don't you cry
Derby mine, dry your eyes
Rest your head close to my heart
Never to part, Derby of mine

Little one when you play
Don't you mind what they say
Let those eyes sparkle and shine
Never a tear, Derby of mine

If they knew sweet little you
They'd end up loving you too
All those same people who scold you
What they'd give just for
The right to hold you

From your head to your toes
You're not much, goodness knows
But you're so precious to me
Cute as can be, Derby of mine

So it has been a bit of a sad week with Ullrick and other things. Mum has been working lots, closing quarters. So I thinks we just need to snuggle this weekend and take lots of naps together.

Purrayers Needed - Goodbye Ullrick

Stop by Ullrick's blog. He hasn't been posting much and now we know why. He and his mum need purrayers.

9/27 - Ullrick's mum, Curiosa, posted that he had a tumor that was inoperable and untreatable. Since she had said her goodbye when she dropped him at the vet, she let him go to the Rainbow Bridge.

Curiosa is hurting, so say a purrayer for her and her other kittie Vessa.

Picture

At the art fair mum found a picture about how we cats do so much for our humans, which is furry true. You can click on the picture to biggify. Plus mum says this lady will do paintings of pets and such. She saw some pictures that she had done of angel kitties and woofies. Just so everfuury one can read the wordies, remember that this is written from our beans view point. We do so much for our beans, don't we!

What Cats Do For Us

Donate their services as alarm clocks
.

Instruct us in the luxurious art of stretching.
Give us someone to talk to.
Make us more aware of birds. Turn common household objects like bottlecaps into toys.

Make a window sill beautiful.
Teach us to land on our feet.

Let us indulge our desires to really spoil someone.

Share with us the all-is-well experience of purring.

Contribute to a longer life.

Warm our laps and open our hearts.

Happy Birthday Grampie

Just a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Grampie. No big parties for him like last year, so no visitors to take over my house. He is 91 which mum says is like a squillian years old for me.

We wish him many more.

Plus I forgotted yesterday to wish Uncle Flip and Aunty Pammy, Happy Birthday. Guess I was so excited with my little painted rock I forgotted.

Sunday Shopping

First some good news. Our little furiend Luna in Spain who was losted by a VET was spotted and is now back with her beans. YAY. What a blessed event.

Furry early the phone thingy rang and mum gave someone a weather report of 'not raining here'. But then some time later the doorbell rang and we had company. Some of mom's furiends, Jane and Gary, were at the door. I could smell woofie on them but they were really fun and I gotted to play with them. I had met Jane last year but never met Gary before. They have had kitties too, so know about playing with kitties

They came over so they could go to a thing called the Cheery Cherry Fall Fair. This is an outside art and craft show.
Peoples sells all sorts of stuff that they make. Mum gotted a few things. First a cute little rock that has me painted on it, or well someone who sort of looks like me. Maybe closer to Fat Eric, I don't think I am quiet that big on the bottom! Plus she gotted another picture, but I will wait to share that on another day.

Saturday

I made it back safely from Opus and Roscoe's party. They had a grand party for a combo party for their 11th birthdays, plus their first blogiversary. The food was molto meraviglioso, and not the usual food we get here. In short delish.

I am getting ready to teleport out to vist with the Calico Girls. They need a little company to give them something to do while CalicoMomToni recuperates. I hopes I gets to see a little of CalicoMom too. Her Smiley Boy wants to give her a soft nose kiss and head butt, if I am allowed. Otherwise, I will just sit and visit with her for a little bit. Plus I hopes I get to meet Precious Flower too.

Going to be a rainy day, so by going to the Big Piney Woods, I might gets to see some sun.

Fat Eric
Victor Tabbycat
Kismet
Beau Beau

If you are an October kittie, please let me know so that you gets honored at the dinner.

Tentative Activities

Friday Oct 20 -
Kick off, kitties can start arriving early afternoon my time. Meet and greet with buffet supper. Tours of the house including the dungeon.

Saturday Oct 21 -
Morning-Pre-season tub hockey games, cheer practice clinic
Afternoon - games outside, jumping, running etc. Mum says we can use the neighbors trampoline too. Or just hanging out with our furiends.
Evening - a banquet to honor all of the October kitties with purrthdays or gotcha days.

Sunday Oct 22 - buffet breakfast, kitties can teleport home as needed. Otherwise, just a general time to visit.

All kitties are welcome to stay the entire weekend or just drop in for part of the event. I know that not everyone will be able to come for the entire weekend.

But if the international kitties want to work out the time. Try this
link mum uses this all the time at work to figure out what time it is around the world. Where we live in the Central Time Zone in the United States.

Mum says that we are considered to be -6 hours of GMT, whatever that is, but that some kitties might recognized this. An example is if it is 6 PM here, it would be 7 AM in Singapore where Bombay lives.

All kitties will be welcomed to attend the party. The October kitties will be the guest of honor if your Gotcha Day or Purrthday is in October. But all kitties are welcomes to attend.

Washing

I think I will stick with the way I gets washed, one sandpaper kiss at a time. I will leave this monster to mum for her stuff.
