I Survived

I survivied the little scary people last night. Mum put me in her bedroom and bath area with my food and box. So she could open the door and not worry about me getting out the door. So I had a nice spot to snuggle while mum dealt with the monsters at the door. I didn't have to hide for a long time as most of the scary things come to the door early in the evening.

Thanks for all of your comments on the picture of me doing, you know what. Mum had readed that kitties like their privacy, but I use my box in front of her all the time. She says I watch her all the time when she uses her litterbox. And I have tried to put the bitey on her while she is there and she is not happy about that. HEHEHE.

  1. We're surprised that your Mum locked you up last night. Our Mom doesn't need to worry about one of us bolting out the front door when children ring the doorbell. We stay as far away from loud children as we can.

We like our privacy at the litter box, but we're not very modest when we "go" outside.

  2. Mom and Dad weren't home last night, so there weren't any monsters at our door (there usually aren't many anyway).
I (Strider) sometimes sit on Mom's lap when she's usin' the human litterbox thing. It used to bother her, but she's used to it now.

Good luck to the Badgers on Saturday! (Somethin' tells us the Lions are the ones who are gonna need the luck...)

  3. I have no modesty at all. But *so far Mom hasn't photographed me in the litter box (give her time)!

When I was a baby, Mom used to wake up and go to the bathroom BEFORE SHE FED ME! So I learned this little trick - to bite her on the back of the ankle. That usually made her realize her mistake. If it didn't, when she was trying to put her contact lenses in, I would run off with the cap to the case as soon as she unscrewed it. I guess I was a little stinker at times. Not anymore, though.

  10. I'm glad you survived! We didn't have any scary people at our house. Mommy says it's cause she turned off the light and hid.

My box has a roof, so nocat can see me in there. I likes that.

  11. I watch my Meowm too when she is doing that, but that doesn't make it okay for her to take a picture of you doing it. It's to bad you can't take one of her...that would show her. ;)

  12. Oh, Derby...I can not believe that woman posted such a private photo of you!

I'm telling you: If one of us could master the camera, we could do some real damage to our humans!

For now, keep biting her "private time." It sounds like it's your only defense!

  13. You got locked up? That was most likely a good thing, we had so many kids and I wasn't too sure about them all.

Talk about privacy, my stupid brother will use the box while I am!

  14. Oh, Derby, you are so cute. I am sending a special kitty kiss your way, and I am pretty stingy with my kisses.

  16. well, we meowers have no shame. we'll climb right in the box when mom's siftin' it and do what needs to be done. we just think it's a friendly thing to do.

we has seen on the picture box's history channel that the ancient romans useta conduct business while in the public bean-boxes! they had LOTS of litter boxes--like 20--all in one room, an' efurrybody did business while they did their business!!

(of course, maybe that was the beginnin' of the downfall of the empire . . .)
