Down the Hatch

We have this little door in the wall. I don't know where it goes as mum won't let me jump in here.
But mum tosses stuff in and then closes the door. Then they appear in the dungeon. Mum says that I don't want to try to use this as a short cut to get to the dungeon. I might get stuck. Better to use the stairs.
The white stuff is coming from the sky. So I have been watching the snow come from the sky, then watching the birdies and the squirrels. You can tell from the below pictures that we started out with no snow, now we have snow.

Mum is not happy with the squirrels as they are getting way too cheeky for their own good. They have been pushing off the lid of the big container of bird seed. At first she thought it might be raccoons, but this has been happening during the day and raccoons aren't usually around during the day.

This was the container early this morning, the top was totally pushed off.
So she put the top back on and went to do her stuff outside the house today, when she came back the top was pushed up again.
One of the things that mum got while she was out were these straps to keep it shut.
Mr Squirrel got mad and was chewing on the strap, then he even was putting the bitey on the empty feeder, knocking it over. If she could she would get rid of the squirrels.
Here he is giving mum a dirty look for his not being able to get into the food container!
Then he even was putting the bitey on the empty feeder, knocking it over. If she could she would get rid of the squirrels.
Mum has been busy making peanut brittle, doing her Christmas letter and typing up Grampie's Christmas letter as well. Plus she talked with the next door people, they go hunting every year and their group killed 9 vishus deers during the hunting season. So they are protecting us from those nasty creatures.

Between batches trying some more stuff in Photoshop, she has the Elements 5.0. Her class thingy was a one night only. They just quickly went through all the tools, but she has written instructions to follow now. Then when she really learns stuff, she won't need to read how to do things.

Plus mum went shopping on the puter last night. Finally she got the WATK book, the new Cat Blogosphere calendar and something for herself for Christmas.

  1. We don't like those skwirrels either. They eat through our bins that haf got the bird food in as well. Mum sez they are tree rats. We try to catch them, but they go on branches that are too small furr us.

  2. Wow. We had that white stuff by us too today. Stay warm.

My human was looking at the photoshop elements class now here too.

  3. Oh, I'd try the door in the wall, if I were you. Evel Kinevel would be proud. (P.S. I didn't realise that squirrels were so big!)

  4. Drat those seed-stealing squirrels anyway. Still, you have to admire their persistence and their ability to figure things out.

Stay warm and dry where you are... that stuff's coming our way next.

  5. Wow! That is one very cheeky squirrel. Our squirrels are busy hiding lots of acorns right now.

    Luf, Us

  6. We have a little door like that on the wall too!! Very mysterious!
The squirrels are nasty, rude little devils. Maybe Rocky & Mao can come up with a repellent thats good for them.

  7. Hi Derby! We gotted a little white stuff today and it is so nice! Thank you for my purthday wishes! I am told I will be getting my castle any day now.

  8. You have a laundry chute! That is really neat. My Lady had one of those at one of her old houses.

  9. Thank you for all your purrs, I think they did the trick. My beans are getting better.

We got a little bit of snow yesterday morning, now all we're getting is lots of wind and rain.

  10. We have had rain, ice and snow in the last 12 hours. It can't make up its mind!
The squirrels here are pretty - some of them are all black. We only had gray and brown ones in KC.

  11. You have a clotheses eatin monster in yore wall? Wow! That's kinda skeery. The skwirrels mite be kinda fun to watch, tho.
Human singin is ok too, long as they don't sing like screemin cows.

  12. We've learned that metally springs defeat the esty squirrellies! And rwally spicy stuff makes them annoyed an go away, too.

  13. My people use to FEED the squirrels! Right outside the window I liked to look out! That was just...wrong.

  14. Wow, that is one p-o'ed squirrel!!! Maybe he's mad about the snow, too.

  15. That's one determined squirrel! When it gets cold and snowy here, the squirrels will empty half the bird feeder in one day! Only a few times have they cut the cord holding the feeder up.

Don't be shy, we loves to hear your meows and mews.
