Derby Caturday

Yes it is the first Caturday of May, the day the three year old horsies run for roses down in Ken-Tucky. So welcome every one to my annual Derby Day party. The picture you see above is the one mum submitted for the CB Calendar. So Happy Calendar Cat Weekend to ME!

I am partial to the first Caturday of May, as that is the day mum gotcha'd me 9 years ago. My official Gotcha Day is next week, so I can celly-brate twice!

Attention, the Derby Party starts NOW!

WooHoo, come on in and eat, play, watch horsies run fast. Enjoy the time with furiends.

Southern fried chick-hen.

A buffet of wonderful goodies, all your favorites are here. If you don't see what you like, ask the catering staff!
Biscuits with ham, we tried to go with some southern style foods.
Roast beast is always good.
Traditional drink for Derby Day is a CatMint Julip. So enjoy.
We may be rushing a day or two, but we will have Meow-garita's too.
Milk for the kittens!

Here are the horsies running, pick your favorite and let's see who wins.

Enjoy the day and don't forget to take a rose home with you to remember the day.

  1. We didn't know that your name was related to your gotcha day, Derby! That's really cool. We'll be happy to join your party, and we'll be watching the run for the roses, too.

  5. Whoo Hoo! Another great Derby Day!
It is almost a rite of spring now to kick off the season with Derby Day and all the festivities!
The ham is delicious. We will look our your sliding doors until it's time for the kickoff, or faceoff or what ever it is the horsies do.

  11. I thought Wildcat Red would win, just because 'cat' was in the name! I think he ended up last, so pfft...I'm not good at betting on racing! Hope you enjoyed the party!

  12. Derby, yesterday we found out our Auntie Martha was at the Kentucky Derby in person! She took in all the hoopla, but wore jeans. She's 68 & said all those hats and spiked heals are for the young women to wear...especially when you have to park at least a mile away and walk there. Auntie Marty loves horses. She has some that she takes to horse shows all over the country. But we wouldn't like to meet them...we'd be too askeered.
