A whole bunch of trucks showed up on the trail today, guys started working and trees started to disappear!
Only one of our trees got a minor prune, but they naybors tree is gone!
Mum says they are not yet done working, that machine in the last picture is staying overnight in the yard. Mum talked to the one tree guy and asked if the mulberry would come down. He looked at it and said very likely. That will make mum happy. Our backyard is going to be a whole lot sunnier.
We know that sometimes trees need to go but we get very sad anyway. We wonder where your birdies will live.
ReplyDeleteI'm with William's Kith and Kin - no matter if it's essential, it always makes me feel a bit sad to see trees being cut down. Gave you some new programming on your Bird TV throughout the day, though, didn't it Ducky?

Wow the yard is looking bare!
ReplyDeleteWe are SO glad all our people-type power lines and such are buried around here. No trees get harmed... And our power never gets deaded by falling branches.
ReplyDeleteMulberry trees don't live very long, my human has heard - their lifespan is pretty much only to middle-age in human years.
ReplyDeleteYou have now a clear view from your yard ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteI love to eat mulberrys, but don't like having the tree/bush in the yard. There is one big tree at a neighbors house, and I stop and munch away when on my walks in the warmer weather. My shoes get all berried up, but I'm happy!
ReplyDeleteAll of that pruning has really lightened the area up.
