Dia del Gato Muerto

Howdy and Happy November. Cold, wet and white here. We had lots of snow yesterday! Way too early for this. We still had trick or treat and about 20 kids came, all in the first hour of the two hour period. Here is a pic of where mum measured the snow.
Hmmm, cook for your pet day? Nah, mum isn't going to do that, at least not something special just for me. She does share what she cooks for herself with me, if it is something I should eat.

Dia del Gato Muerto mum says this is Day of the Dead Cat. Well, the only dead cat around here is Derby. His box of ashes is in the glass case with other stuff.

Mum was nice and went out to refill the feeders for the birdies and attached the power cord to the bird bath so they have water. It got all frozen way earlier than she expected. We even saw a robin who hasn't got south yet. He was happy to have water and meal worms to eat.

Happy November.

  1. I had no idea there was a day for humans to cook for their cat! Too bad my human didn't know ahead of time!

  2. If you mum didn't cook for you, Ducky, I hope she gave you extra cuddles to make up for it.

  4. That snow was definitely a trick, not a treat! Brrr.

We commemorate Day of the Dead with our old bros and sisters. We need to put out lots of treats for them because there are quite a few now! Maybe we can get Mom to take pictures of our altar.

  6. I hope that snow doesn't mean you will get a long cold winter! We have just come back from a cruise to the Arctic Circle searching for the Northern Lights and had a foot of soft fluffy snow in 3 hours. Of course living where we rarely get it, or maybe occasionally just an inch I had to be a big kid and play in it!
