To make sure we don't get hurt I will have mum set off the fireworks. We ordered these special in that they don't make booms to scare kitties. They are pretty but won't scare you. The official big fireworks was last night, but we also had natural fireworks has we had thunderboomie storms. Nothing bad and mum said we needed the rain really bad. Now to honor America, please join in and sing a few songs with me. Sing them from your heart.
God, bless America,
Land that I love.
Stand beside her,
And guide her
Through the night with a light from above.
From the mountains
To the prairies
To the oceans white with foam,
God, bless America,
My home, sweet home.
God bless America Land that I love
Stand beside her
And guide her
Through the night with a light from above
From the mountains
To the prairies
To the oceans white with foam
God bless America
My home sweet home
God bless America....
My home sweet home!
Land that I love.
Stand beside her,
And guide her
Through the night with a light from above.
From the mountains
To the prairies
To the oceans white with foam,
God, bless America,
My home, sweet home.
God bless America Land that I love
Stand beside her
And guide her
Through the night with a light from above
From the mountains
To the prairies
To the oceans white with foam
God bless America
My home sweet home
God bless America....
My home sweet home!
O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!
O beautiful for pilgrim feet
Whose stern impassioned stress
A thoroughfare for freedom beat
Across the wilderness!
America! America!
God mend thine every flaw,
Confirm thy soul in self-control,
Thy liberty in law!
O beautiful for heroes proved
In liberating strife.
Who more than self the country loved
And mercy more than life!
America! America!
May God thy gold refine
Till all success be nobleness
And every gain divine!
O beautiful for patriot dream
That sees beyond the years
Thine alabaster cities gleam
Undimmed by human tears!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!
O beautiful for halcyon skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the enameled plain!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till souls wax fair as earth and air
And music-hearted sea!
O beautiful for pilgrims feet,
Whose stem impassioned stress
A thoroughfare for freedom beat
Across the wilderness!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till paths be wrought through
wilds of thought
By pilgrim foot and knee!
O beautiful for glory-tale
Of liberating strife
When once and twice,
for man's avail
Men lavished precious life!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till selfish gain no longer stain
The banner of the free!
O beautiful for patriot dream
That sees beyond the years
Thine alabaster cities gleam
Undimmed by human tears!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till nobler men keep once again
Thy whiter jubilee!
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!
O beautiful for pilgrim feet

Hello Derby,
ReplyDeleteYour fireworks are the bestest! The other ones with the big booms should be outlawed! I'm calling my congresswoman.
Toodles,
Tyle
Derby, I hope you had a wonderful 4th of July.
ReplyDeleteWe had fireworks on the July 1st for Canada Day - I don't like them either, I hid under Mum's Chair!
Happy Independence Day! We hope it was lots of fun and very safe!
ReplyDeleteWe wish The Big Things aroun here had used the quiet kind of "fireworks". The noise last dark scared us a lot!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the quiet fireworks, I enjoyed them more than the ones last night. Ugh!
ReplyDeleteAnd I sang. Mommy says I have a voice that would be perfect for silent movies. I don't know what she meant. Hmmm...
