Great Backyard Bird Count
We know the Trout Towne Tabbies won't like this, they would rather count fish! But starting next Friday is the bird count anyone can pawticipate in. Yes anyone, this year, for the first time it is a GLOBAL count.
So next week, Friday, Caturday, Sunday and Monday. Mum say Monday is a hollyday for most beans, so they can stay home and help you count.
Go here for more information.
You know we will be counting along with mum. We love watching the fevvers.
We would also like to mention that our cousin Claire, who lived in the OK state, went to The Bridge on Friday. We will meet you someday sweet lady.
Claire and the rest of us are pucha. Yes, pucha, as that is the Malayalam word for cat. Here is the post where Derby first introduced her.

I would love to participate in this... except I am not all that great at math. Maybe I should look and have my human do the counting.
ReplyDeleteThis is very exciting! We are going to see about participating! Thanks for letting us know!
ReplyDeletePurrs,
The Chans
huh - how interesting..... I wonder if the press will give us more credit for counting birds. :)
ReplyDeletePurrs to Claire's family
Birdie tv is not very popular where I moved so I will try to participate.
ReplyDeleteWe hardly have any bird tv at our new house! We have NO trees and we can't plant any yet. What were the humans thinking???
ReplyDeleteWe enjoy your Bird Count posts each year Derby. Have Mum take pictures again!
ReplyDeletePurrs to Claire's people and we know she is enjoying lounging at the Bridge.
Can we sort them by flavor? Mommy saw a red-tailed hawk at work!
ReplyDeleteThanks for giving Claire a sendoff. She was well-loved.
ReplyDeleteWe send our purrs to Claire's family.
ReplyDeleteWe had a bird count here the other day as well and had lots of different birds visit the feeders.
For some reason the birdies here are M.I.A. We are so sorry you have lost your cousin, Claire. She was so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting us know! We'll make sure all the feeders are full...and we'll be counting!!
ReplyDeleteWe're so sorry about your cousin, Claire...purrs....
Maybe we can do it-we'll hasta ask our Mom.

We LOVE to count the birdies. In fact, once in a great while, we help there to be one fewer...
