Garden Thursday
Hello and Welcome to Garden Thursday. Well, we had a few days of nice, lots of sun, decent temperatures. Well, it got rainy on Wednesday, mum went out in it to get to the garden group meeting. Seems they have to report their volunteer hours through the puter now. Mum likes that. But with the rain, we got shrooms!
Finally this week the pee-o-knees have bloomed. That makes all of us happy.
The maples trees have gone crazy this year with producing seeds. All sorts of helly-copters coming down on us. Mum swept a good pile together and this was just half of the patio!
Bizzy week. Mum has been pulling more weeds, seems the birds toss out the sunflower seeds and then they grow. Mum doesn't need a bazillion sunflowers! Here is one small pile.

Sunflowers are such fun, happy flowers that it seems a pity that your mum can't let all her extra plants grow. Oh well ...

Hi girls! Glad you have had good weather and your mum has been able to work in the garden. We have had days of heavy rain and very cold temperatures. The roses are trying to flower well, but the rain is knocking all the petals off. The peonies are pretty.

ReplyDeleteWhen our mom was little, it was all the rage for kids to partially split the still-green maple seeds and stick them on their noses. Can you imagine this?

since we have Dakota I actually hate when mushrooms grow outside, we have to be extremely careful that he doesn't eat any. He eats everything!
