Fang Shui Friday

Clutter destroys good ch'i. Enlightened cats should eliminate all clutter from the environment.

To clear a mantel, walk behind the clutter while gently pushing it to the floor. The humans will then remove it from your space.

  1. Oh, I totally agree with this one! For instance, Mom likes to leave the bottle cap to her pop (or soda depending on your locale) on the counter top and then go outside on the patio.

That thing has to GO! She always looks so puzzled when she comes back inside - doesn't she realize there are, like, 50 of them under various kitchen appliances?

  2. You sure are smart - I just followed your advice and it worked at clearing off the shelf but for some reason the humans looked a bit disgruntled. Any advice? Faz

  3. Hi Derby, Your Lady does Sudoku too! And I also saw my Lady's favorite movie, Pride and Prejudice. I bet our moms would be friends. I knock stuff over all the time!

  6. Alas, Derby, mom just picks it up and puts it back. Most of the clutter in our house belongs to dad and is mostly useless (including dad himself) according to mom. Oh yeah, dad's what she calls a packrat. She's actually thrown out whole boxes of stuff and he hasn't noticed it's missing. Fang Shui in this house-hah! We hope it's o.k. that Speedy is coming by with Mattingly on Saturday. Mom is gonna be gone all weekend and since dad is no good at doing the mom things we'll be happy to have him gone for a day. She's mostly the one who keeps him from becoming too "crazy" with us.

  14. Our Big Thing says fallen objects on the floor destroy balance. So we don't do that.

We would like to... But balance seems important to us.

  15. Thank you Derby for posting this. It would be nice if Mom would appreciate that we are just looking out for her spiritual well-being when we clear off the desk for her. I mean, if those papers were really important, she would file them, right? Who can get work done with this clutter?

Anyway, I'm really looking forward to tomorrow. Thanks for having us over... we'll probably be by mid-morning!
