Snow and Fevvers

I hopes that all of my furiends who have gotten bad weathers, ice and stuff are doing OK. Mum even called Uncle Stormie, he is OK in OK. He has power and all.

The snow machine visted here overnight so it is white outside again. Mum says we only gotted about 3-4 inches which isn't that much. But it was slippery out so mum worked from home.
So she didn't clear the snow right away from the driveway. Which worked out wonderfully as the man across the street came over with his snow eating machine. So mum just had to do the little clean up on the edges of the driveway and by the front door. Then she cleared the snow from the patio.

While she was out she filled all of the birdie feeders again. They ated lots over the past few days so needed more to munch on. But look at how many fevvers we hadded eating all at one time. But all of a sudden they flew off and mum caughted sight of a hawk. She even caughted the little fevvers flying away! You can click on them to biggify.
Before it snowed mum found this fur thing in the yard. It looks like a bunny fur. Mum was thinking that maybe Mr. Hawk came looking for some food and this is all that is left. This is where she found it in the yard and she moved it over by the tree where a little more furry patch was. She left them outside in case some creature needs to have some fur for its nest.
Oh, and about my title. My furiends can always just call me Derby. No bowing and scraping will be required.

  8. You know what the Mother did to Tucker when it snowed here? He escaped out the front door as she was coming in with the D-O-G. She picked him up and set him down in the snow that was up to his nose!!! Then she asked him if he really wanted to be outside. He decided not, so she brought him back inside.

We love watching birdies too! And that looks like bun fluff. Don't tell any of the fluffies about that.

  13. You have a regular fevver diner going out there in the yard.
Looks like thats bunny fur from one of their hidey holes. Maybe it got loose in the wind or something.

  16. That much snow in Whiskonsin shouldn't affect things much. Still, any excuse to stay home with the cats is a good excuse.

Hawks are always hungry, and little birds and rabbits are fair game. Every creature's gotta make a living...

  17. That's not too bad on the snow. We got a little bit more than that, but not much. But it was really really really cold for a few days so we all snuggled in somewhere most of the time.

We're gonna have to ration the Squeak pictures. We got lots, but Grr Midnight and Cocoa's Lady is going crazy, andwe think she may not be able to feed them and stuff if she's crazy! (Besides, Persephone's still a little jealous!)

So I haven't been by much lately. My OTW's hogging the computer lots and stuff!

  18. Derby, I can't imagine that Wisconsin only gets that much snow. Of course our relatives are in Racine and they always seem to get more--something about the lake effect? At any rate I'm not a weather cat and I think I should get to move to warm state! Stay warm!

  19. And here I was thinking that today's weather was horrible. I don't know if I could handle the snow. We have nothing but freezing rain here, and it is quickly turning to ice.

Try to stay warm, Derby. Perhaps you could cuddle up to your mom and watch a movie!

  20. Hi Derby, Mom was impressed by your new title so she went to see what my name could come up with. It's a lot shorter than yours though.

Goodness you sure got a lot of snow. Mom has been wanting snow for a long time now. It hasn't snowed here for about five or six years now. When we do get snow it doesn't hang around for too long cause we don't get all that much, maybe two-four inches.

Mom says she sure hopes that the fur wasn't a bunny.
