Caturday

HiYa Ducky here, Happy Caturday! First Caturday of our new year. I hope the new year is being kind to you so far.

While we had a bit of snow/rain the first few days, it is now bright and sunny and the snow is melting again. Mum has gotten the mess off the driveway and most of it off the patio.

Here is me, this early AM, helping mum with the puter. Yep, time to do a blog post for all of you. Another sunny day coming up for us. More melting, more naps in the sun puddles!
Mum tried to take an artsy pic the other day. She could see a little bit of ice still on the trees and the sun was shining on them, so all pretty. In this one she just got the glare of the sun over the roof of the house. It is hard to see the ice in the pics, but mum could easily see it with her eyes.
Always, we have the woofies who walk by, here is a good looking one. The dog walkers can't get too far down the trail, the tree trimmer guys are down there. So a short walk and then they have to turn around.
Mum says today is food shopping, lunch with Miss Lynn and then probably some playoff feetsball later. She won't watch all of the games, says she needs to finish reading her book.

Oh yeah, she counts her books when she reads them. She did 120 last year, she says that is really good. Sometimes she thinks she reads when she should be doing her chores like cleaning or working outside. Mum, you did use the sucky monster this week to gather my furs, so that should do for a few weeks!

Happy weekend.

  1. I can see the sparkles of ice in the tree. It looks pretty.
It is cold and grey here, but at least it is not raining.

  2. 120! That's wonderful! I hit 88 only, down from 94 least year. I highly recommend 'Goodreads' as a place to keep track of the books that you want to read, and books that you've completed.

  4. I feel the need to correct you on two things today Ducky.

First, there is simply no such thing as a "good looking" woofie. Nup. No. Never.

And secondly, your mum is wrong in thinking that she should/could be doing chores instead of reading. Chores can wait - reading is important!

  5. Sometimes, the best thing to do in bad weather is just relax, wait, nap and eat... Then you are ready for good weather.

  7. Can't believe I am saying this but I wish we had snow. We have had NO significant snow since November!

  8. Your Mom's tree picture turned out pretty even if it wasn't what she wanted. Glad you are having some sunpuddles.
