Mum got a picture of this big fat robin in our yard yesterday. So we know spring is really here. She even keeps track of when she sees her firsted robin and last year it was a whole week later, March 14 this year, versus, March 22 last year. Mum had seen some robins last week, but no pictures. Mum also uncovered some of her special plants. The worsted of the really cold weather is over, so it is OK for them to come out from hiding. Come on spring, lets see some flowers blooming.
We don't get a lot of robins because there's not a lot of worms out here. I hope you have a whole bunch in your yard so you'll get lots of visits.
ReplyDeletemommy says out croak-us-s are late this year, and she has not seen any robins yet this year. it's cold cold cold here.
ReplyDeleteMmmmmm....birdie....
ReplyDeleteYay fur spring! I haven't seen a robin yet. I don't know if we get them. I'll have to keep a look out.
ReplyDeleteOur croak- us -s are poking up and the heather is bloomin!!! Robins are everywhere....Mom planted violas today....Yipee!!!!
ReplyDeleteWe saw some robins and Mom was furry excited! She says the daffy-dils are comin' up (but not bloomin') too!
ReplyDeleteOoh, I like your picture. But that is a weird looking robin to us. Our British robins are quite different, although they do have red breasts of course. We saw a British robin the other day, plus a blue tit, some sparrows, wood pigeons, blackbirds - this morning some seagulls were screaming over our garden, we don't know why as we are miles from the sea!!
ReplyDeleteWe saw a robin today that was pullin' a really long worm straight out of the ground. It was kinda gross . . . looks like yours is better behaved!
ReplyDeleteI don't think we have robins here, in the old house we used to live in there was a cardinal and his wife who would visit. He would talk to me through the screen door. ~Merlin
