Why do Cats get the Blame

Look at these words and what they mean.

Catastrophic- a momentous tragic event ranging from extreme misfortune to utter overthrow or ruin

Cataclysm-a momentous and violent event marked by overwhelming upheaval and demolition; broadly : an event that brings great changes

Catatonic-of, relating to, being, resembling, or affected by schizophrenia characterized especially by a marked psychomotor disturbance that may involve stupor or mutism, negativism, rigidity, purposeless excitement, and inappropriate or bizarre posturing

Why do they blame everything on us cats? I have never heard dog-tastrophe or a dog-aclysm. Not fair!

  1. Derby, you bring up some very good points here. This is an outrage! Cats unite! If you have any dictionarys in your homes, bite 'em & claw 'em to death!

  2. Excellent discussion points, Derby. We cats of the blogging world should have a meeting of the minds to find some "good" cat words.

  3. You cats also get some credit...
One of my favourite words is Vacation. Which is the State of Vacating. This leads my to my own derivation of the word Vacate. "Va" is French for to "To Pamper" and "Cate" is simply poor French spelling for Cat. So vacation means the "State of Pampering the Cat". So lobby your government for more Vacation.
